This place is pretty cool and worth a visit if you’re in the area. The wine is delicious, with a variety of types/flavors and the bottles are price very reasonably. The food is good as well but not exceptional. The staff are all very kind and accommodating. The tour itself is very short and basically consists of a short walk from the cafe to the train. If you’re looking for an over-the-top experience, this is not it. The train ride takes you on a linear path a couple miles down the track, then stops and comes right back. There is no food or drink on the train and there’s virtually nothing of interest to look at on the ride; just Alabama woods 10 feet away from the train. If you have never been on a train and just want the experience, go for it; otherwise this can be skipped. Save the money and spend it at the cafe on some wine. During the tasting, every wine is explained and poured for you a glass at a time and there is a charcuterie board to snack on. It is a relaxing experience and not rushed. You get to sample many wines and the portions are generous. That part of the experience is worth the visit alone. I recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t travel a great distance for it.

I've lived near this winery for years and finally decided to visit. I had a great experience at Ozan. The staff was very welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. We went on a Saturday morning for the wine tasting and train ride. The wines and pairings were great. This is great for a girls' day out, day date, or solo experience. I do suggest making reservations in advance. I'll definitely visit this winery again.

Great experience! The yellow whiskey before the train ride was good but the train ride was a tad boring but still a good experience overall especially if you’ve never ridden a train before. The wine tasting was excellent with 10 different wines. The cheese plate/ charcuterie board was filling and tasty. Didn’t have to buy lunch because we were full!! The Shelby Rogue wine was my favorite and one that I purchased. Cindy was our host and she was amazing!!! Fun place for a girls day!!

The entire staff was absolutely amazing! I was in a party of 20+ and they handled it effortlessly and efficiently. We especially enjoyed and loved Cindy’s charismatic style of hosting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about your palate for wine. The train ride was great, too! Would recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in wine tasting.

This place is awesome. It's such a neat setting, such a beautiful area, and they have wonderful spots for indoor and outdoor seating. There wine was fantastic, I had a flight and a glass and no complaints on anything I tried. I also tried a little bit of their spirits and they were also fantastic, you really can't go wrong if you're into either of these kinds of drinks. They do have a pretty decent food menu and some food options for you. But the scenery, the drinks, the atmosphere, all of it, makes this one of the most fantastic places to visit in this area.

The wine and spirits were amazing! We stopped due to a backup on 65 and it was well worth the detour. Cindy and Heath were so helpful and kind. We had flights of the Alabama Dry and the Sweet and Chilled. We ended up going home with 4 bottles of wine, gin, and yellow whiskey. Cindy and Heath were so helpful and kind. We will definitely be back when we are on our next trip south, however, we are so excited that they will ship to us in Indiana!

I can't begin to describe how great this place is.

Booked a train ride and wine tasting for 10/06/18 about a month and a half ago for myself and a few friends. The day of the trip, traffic headed out of Birmingham was INSANE, and we ended up being 15 minutes late. I was so worried we had missed our slot and would have wasted our money.

Not so.

My friends and I were told to sit right down, that they'd only just poured the first glass. Got my sample of the first glass just before they announced the second one. Everything was fantastic from there.

The wines are amazing. Certainly, there were a few that I was not overly fond of, but I don't think there was a wine that I absolutely hated. I ended up buying 3 bottles, and another friend bought 4 bottles.

Lunch was wonderful, and Paige was as pleasant and as accommodating as she could be. You're in for a treat if she's there.

The train ride was relaxing, and the weather was great. On the way back, the pumpkin patch was full of children playing and having a great time. It was like a scene from a film -- happy and heart-warming.

You will not be disappointed with Ozan. Promise.
