Out of the Barrel? More like out of ideas. This place promised a craft beer experience but delivered a masterclass in mediocrity. The beer tasted like it was brewed with a sense of obligation rather than passion—like someone handed a spreadsheet to a brewer and said, 'Make this, but make it sad.' The ambiance? Imagine a garage sale meets a frat basement, but with fewer functioning lights. And don’t get me started on the service—our server seemed to be on a quest to set a world record for 'Least Eye Contact Made While Taking an Order.' If disappointment were a flavor, this place would have it on tap. Cheers to never coming back!" 🍻

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Out of the Barrel. My friend and I were enjoying our time with our very friendly and well-behaved pit bull, who was kindly playing with another dog. Despite this, the staff rudely approached us, accused our dog of being aggressive (which multiple bystanders disagreed with), and kicked us out in an unnecessarily hostile manner. To make things worse, they insulted us, calling us drunk—an absolutely false and inappropriate accusation.

This was nothing short of discrimination and an embarrassing display of poor customer service. Many people around us vouched that our dog was nothing but sweet, yet we were still treated with disrespect and forced to leave. If this is how they handle customers, I won’t be coming back, and I highly suggest others reconsider supporting a place that treats people this way. Truly disappointing.

Never have I ever been so disrespected in the community. I am an elected official and will be taking this matter directly to the mayor. I am a christian and expect to be treated with same respect that I give. We were told we didn't give ID after giving ID five different times and then the bartender took our beers away for no reason. Weird vibe and couldn't recommend less. If i could give less than one star i would. Out of the Barrel? more like out of business... couple of simps in there.

Edit: the owner has brought many things to my attention and now I like out of the barrel. everyone should go try this local business and taste the delicious bevvies!! Out of the barrel, thank you!🙏🏼. We have walked by this place probably five times and always wanted to stop in but had the kids with us so could not. Next time we're even going to take the dog. It's a great place that you can bring your own food or order in from local restaurants and have a fantastic time enjoying local craft brews. I enjoyed the local ciders, and Vicky enjoyed the Honey Pot Blonde IPA on tap.

I'm going to give 4 stars here because I'm not qualified enough as a beer drinker to critique their selections. I enjoyed a beer here last week with an ABV of 9% and got pretty buzzed. I really like the bar (the actual wood bar they serve you on inside) and I've always found the bartenders to be knowledgeable with good barside manners. You can confide in them that your liver #'s are elevated and your recent liver scan shows "significant scarring" and you'll get no condemnation from them: they'll still ply you with all the beer you can drink 😉

What a monumental disappointment. This place should be called Barrel of IPA's. All those beers and no balance in variety. Mostly bitter IPA after bitter IPA. I love a good beer and walked out empty-handed.

Pretty awesome spot to get a brew. Tried a couple different types and finally settled on the Citrus Cooler #29. Looks like they are expanding the outdoor seating area. Will definitely be back 🍺

It’s the local dog park. Four dogs(different owners) roaming around the patio unleashed this evening. Had one dog trying to lick my leg, owner oblivious. This is the THIRD time we’ve been there and dogs are roaming off leash, around tables. 1) it’s rude to assume that others want some stranger’s dog rubbing up against them; 2) not all people are comfortable around dogs they don’t know; 3) there is a LEASH LAW in Fresno; 4) maybe the owners could look out for ALL their customers, and perhaps be aware of the injury and liability looming with one single incident. Try putting up a sign and require animals on a leash like every other responsible business in town.”Dog friendly” should not mean pet irresponsibility.
