Shopping in there today 2/10 and I was in the supplement area... 3 workers were talking very loudly and openly about how they can't stand a certain political group. I stood there and listened for a while. It was so unprofessional and rude to sit there and talk like that while customers all around the store. No matter what your political stance is, keep it to the back room where you can speak freely and have your opinions. Run the business like a business not a place of segregation.

Oryana Community Co-op is a great place to shop. Always lots of delicious food with a broad selection. Produce fresh and generally ready to eat. Many of the departments have fantastic selection. The bulk foods area far superior to other grocers. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Great nut selection and nut butters, even if you like to make your own.

Visiting from Phoenix, AZ and our friends in TC recommended this place. The Vegan options rocked! Had the vegan Reuben on rye, very, very good. Glad we popped in here!

I adore Oryana. Some how they squeeze in all the choices of a whole foods into a cute small town grocery store where everyone knows you. I love all the local organic choices. Plus they have a great cafe attached to it with healthy food choices and juices/smoothies, etc. No one needs a Whole Foods in Traverse City when you have Oryana. And I usually shop at Whole Foods a lot. I have been shopping there for 15 years. They also have Oryana West, which has more fresh meat/seafood options, which may be the only thing missing from the original Oryana. If you sign up for the co-op, you have the opportunity to save a lot through their discounts. The always helpful and cheery staff helps to make this my favorite place to shop.
