No frils halal restaurant inside a grocery store about 10 minutes detour from the highway. Grilled chicken quarters over rice was good. The serving size is above avg.

I always come here when in Tuson to get my Kenyan stuff since it's also a market. This trip I was alittle sad that they had no Sambusa or East African tea but the food we got the chicken shwarama and the Lamb with rice was really good.
The staff was very friendly as always and attentive despite how busy it got which is always appreciated. I definitely recommend for some East African cuisine which is not alot out here.
Update as at July 2024: Went here and I was excited because when in Tuson it's my favorite place to go to get some home feel stuff well I think the owners have changed. You can tell from the food it's not what it used to be and even the regular people (owners) that used to be there are not there. At the moment I didn't quit like the new taste to the food but to eat there own. Just an FYI for anyone that saw my previous preview 7 months ago.

Very delicious awesome flavor and cooked perfectly. This was my wife and I first visit. We had mixed shawarma plate and gyro with frys. Even though mixed plate was not on the menu the owner still happily fulfilled my request. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back very soon. We only enjoyed food from the restaurant, but the super market had a variety of tasty looking treats for sale and I would like to return when I have a bit more time to browse and shop.

OK..it doesn't look special from the outside, but this business has heart and passion. Need help in choosing basic ingredients for cooking at home? Bring a pad and pencil.

Ready for the best falafal sandwich in Tucson? Save yourself time and just order two. Low key and so Tucson.

Way overpriced. They charge you in the restaurant more than what they advertise for in their website online. In other words, you check the prices online and you go there, then you get shocked that they charge you much more. The food is very bad, especially the chicken nuggets. It seems that they cook it in old black oil. The gyro has a bad smell. Definitely, I will never come back. For their grocery part, I saw that they sell you great value (Walmart) yogurt 😂. Most items don't have price tag to fool you in the register area. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
