We did the llama walk at Smuggs today mainly for my 6 year old daughter, but it turned out the whole family really enjoyed it, including 9, 11 and 17 year old boys and my 74 year old mom. Steve is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He answered so many of our questions about llamas and about the area and we all really enjoyed chatting with him. The llamas are so gentle and sweet and it’s obvious that Steve and his family care for them well. The walk was a pleasant one around the Smuggs trails. We enjoyed being with the llamas. They are calming! This is a great multi generational activity and we were all glad we decided to do it together.

Had a blast cutting down a Christmas tree and hanging out with llamas! They were very friendly, and the shop had all sorts of fun llama gifts!
(FYI, dogs are allowed, on leashes. Always a great bonus!)

Llama trek with Northern Vermont at Smugglers Notch was the highlight of our trip this year. We have been coming here for over 20 years, and this was the first time, but definitely not the last time. Steve was a fabulous guide, and his care & love for the llamas was quite evident.

I highly recommend this experience for your family, especially young children.

Even though it was pouring rain we couldn’t have had a better experience getting our tree! We selected one of the pre cut trees and while we browsed the gift shop Steve trimmed and put it in the truck for us. Some great unique gifts and complimentary hot cider = 👌. Also do NOT miss the incredible model train village in the gift shop! I could have stayed and watched it all day! Spotted some v cute llamas hiding out in the barn as well. Will be back for sure!

Amazing experience to be up close to them. Super friendly family that owns the farm and beautiful animals. My son was supposed to do the Llama Trek at Smugglers Notch but we were not able to do it because of his asthma being really bad and they let us come to the farm to see the Llama at the farm. He had done the Trek once before and like the Llama DJ and was looking forward to seeing him again. So we got to see DJ and about 10 amazing Llama. My son was very happy. He was very upset when he couldn't do the Trek but was overjoyed to get to go to the farm and meet other beautiful, friendly Llama. We are so grateful for opportunity to come to the farm. It was an amazing experience. I will be back again next year and we will be doing the Llama Trek then.
