This is one of my all time favorite places. High quality and varied selection of herbs and spices. Their smoked products are insanely good and they have samples of everything so you can try before you buy. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Always willing to help you out in anyway possible and answer your questions. They also offer custom tea blends and craft hot sauces. I truly appreciate and value this place immensely.

We found this store several years ago visiting downtown Manistee. Their selection of spices, flavored balsamic vinegars, oils, coffees & bulk flavored teas among other items is amazing! We now go there everytime we visit Manistee....the store always has new products to try. They also have awesome recipes to utilize their spices. After visiting this store, venture to Alpine Chocolate next door for hand dipped ice cream and huge selection of chocolates which is also part of their small family-owned business.

just amazing. there hasn’t been a spice i’ve tried so far that i didn’t like. every time i got to manistee it’s a staple to go there to stock up as i live 2hrs away. i know you can order online but the experience of sniffing all the spices and the warm welcome from the lady’s working there is just amazing. one lady was so kind to give me a pack of shish kabob seasoning for free!! they never disappoint. i couldn’t recommend it more. 🙂

The staff here is super friendly, and super knowledgeable. Apart from having really fresh and delicious spices, they also have a microscope to figure out old forgotten family recipes. We brought them a family recipe that has been forgotten for decades! We had the seasoning in bulk and took the last bit of it to these friendly ladies. A short while later they figured out the recipe and its proportions so we could recreate it. They even offer a labeling service for family recipes.

The lady’s at the shop are super sweet and always helpful. Me and my daughter have picked up several spices from here and love them all. Walking down the side walk towards the shop, you’ll get pulled right in by the smell. I plan on heading back up before winter gets here to do some Christmas shopping. My Dad will be getting a “spicy” gift basket from the Northern Spice Company this year.
