As with any parent, choosing where your child is going to spend their time without you present felt like an impossible task. You can’t really *know* what their experience will be like unless you can see it. Hopefully I can help.
Our daughter has been with NH for about 18mo now and we could not have had a better experience! The teachers there know and love our daughter, teach her, and care for her day in and day out and every day our daughter is anxious to go back.
NH has excellent procedures to keep kids clean and healthy too. Our daughter has not lived up to the “always sick from daycare” stereotype at all.
Also, every day the staff makes the kids a unique and tasty lunch as well as snacks so we know she’s well-fed. This has been doubly helpful in introducing our daughter to new foods and teaching her about trying new things with confidence.
NH has it all and has been a wonderful addition to our family and I’d happily recommend it to any prospective parents.

I was extremely nervous to send my little one to daycare and feel so blessed to have found New Horizon! The staff and teachers are so amazing, we felt like everyone there knew our little one’s name and would greet him at drop off/pick up. He had a rough time in the beginning and always wanted to be held, his teachers in the infant room, Ms. Yvette and Ms. Jasmine are so sweet and caring, and assured me he would adjust. He transitioned to the one’s room with Ms. Tia and continued to receive such great care. I truly felt connected throughout the day with the in-app updates, they share photos of all the activities, meals, diaper changes & naps. In the beginning I would send messages or call to check on him & they never made me feel like a bother. I especially appreciate how accommodating Ms. Terra and Ms. Mackenzie are, we are a military family and they have helped us with various requests! I wish we could’ve taken New Horizon with us when we moved 🙂

We have been with NHA at this location for almost 3 years - currently with 2 children. Even through some of the bumpy milestones and transitions I am in awe of the way Ms Terra handles everything on a day to day basis. Ms Mackenzie doesn’t miss a step when Terra is out. The teachers truly care about your children - in any of the rooms. We have been in the infants/twos/threes and going into fours and especially right now I would have no qualms about my kids being in any of the rooms. So many teachers are tenured and have the experience needed to keep the kids engaged, learning and productive. They were so accommodating and great to work with for potty training. We love NHA and look forward to seeing what they are up to each day. Proud to have them as part of our “Village”.

We LOVE New Horizon in Meridian! Our daughter has been to many daycares in her short life and this one has been the best by far! There is an app where your child’s teacher will send you multiple pictures throughout the day, they record how many times your child’s diaper was checked and changed, they will inform you when they begin and end their nap, and update you on what they are eating at meal/snack times and how much they ate of said meal/snack. I cannot say enough good things about this fantastic daycare.
PLUS my daughters teacher in the twos class (Miss Amanda) is so kind and genuinely cares for my daughter and her well being. She takes fantastic care of her and is very attentive to my daughters special needs. She has brought me to tears on numerous occasions with her compassion and empathy. We love you Miss Amanda!!

I have both worked at and had my children attend here. My son was 2 years old at the time and was difficult to handle at time but the teacher Miss Amanda was kind, loving, and got him to participate in activities. My daughter was with the older kids classroom. They picked her up on their bus and brought her to daycare. She made so many friends and had a wonderful time. Teachers were always amazing with the children, super clean facility, and management is amazing and accommodating. I was so sad to leave my job there and my son missed daycare so much. Now my toddler attend the 3s classroom and is so happy to be back! I also now have an infant that attends as well. When he had a hard first day everyone took turns rocking him, trying to soothe him and feed him. I would never send my kids anywhere but here. Their quality of childcare makes it all worth it

Our daughter has been attending new horizon academy for the past three years, and we’ve had such a positive experience. Her absolute favorite teacher has been Mrs. Amanda, who she had in the 2’s class and again in the 3’s class alongside Mrs. Amy. We’re so grateful for the love, patience, and structure they provided.

This past year having both Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Amy in the 3’s class has been so rewarding. Our daughter made huge strides—she learned to identify letters and even began writing her name! Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Amanda have created such a fun and encouraging learning environment, and our daughter truly enjoyed going to class every day. We’re so thankful for the role both Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Amy have played in helping her grow.

The directors Mrs. Terra and Mrs. McKenzie, always communicate clearly and compassionately. Anytime I’ve had a concern or question, they’ve addressed it quickly and made me feel heard and supported. It means so much as a parent to know that my child is not only learning but is also genuinely loved and cared for by everyone here. This daycare has been such a special part of our lives, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Now, as we enter the 4’s class, we’re so excited to get to know the other teachers and continue this journey with Mrs. Isabelle. She greets our daughter every morning with a hug and a smile, and that small act sets the tone for a positive and loving day. We’re looking forward to another year of learning and growth and getting ready for kindergarten!❤️

I’m currently a teacher at this location and just love my job so much, great staff and the management is amazing! Terra and Mackenzie really run a great center. I’m a soon to be mom and am so excited to have my child attend this amazing school.
