We have been going to Nee Hai Bonsai for a decade. Beautiful bonsai shop with diverse selection of plants and soil. The owner is very welcoming and is full of interesting stories. Last fall he played a flute for us and it was so touching. This May we drove there from Visalia and were sad to see it closed. Does anyone know if it's closed for good or just taking a break? We will definitely miss this gem

I have been getting my materials from here for 20 years. Makes you feel like family when you visit. He has been very helpful keeping me on track in taking care of my Bonsai.
Also getting me to get my own thinking on what I want when doing Bonsai.

My boyfriend and I came here to get a gift for my sister and her boyfriend. The owner was very knowledgeable about the different bonsais and we ended up buying one there 🙂 The owner has a small little shop where we paid and it has other stuff like Japanese Tea Sets, stationary items, etc. He is also a great artist and watches Korean Drama! Lol. He was great company and we always talk about going again.

The owner is supper knowledgeable and nice. If you’re into plants, especially bonsai you should pay a visit. There are so many type of quality incense from Korean and Japan, its amazing.

I came to this place to buy a bonsai tree as a gift for someone, only to find out that they don't make good indoor plants. I had my heart set on getting that small plant, but am so glad I was told by the owner there who educated me on the history of the bonsai tree and how much time and care is put into them! He could have easily sold me one (and they're as costly as they are beautiful) and sent me on my way, only to have the person who received my gift have a dead tree after a couple of weeks, but instead, the gentleman really took his time in giving me suggestions of other plants that would make excellent plant pets! Thank you very much Grey, for taking your time and walking me around the nursery to find the perfect plant! This place is kind of hidden, but it deserves more attention than it's getting! I will be back again! Here is what I ended up buying for the gift!

Drove all the way from clovis to find that it's shut down. Fence around it and lots of overgrown weeds.

This humble little shop is run by Grey Anderson, a man with 40+ years of experience in the world of bonsai. I have purchased two bonsai tools from him over the years. No doubt they will outlast me. Highly recommended!
