The fact they give certain students a specific registration date is beyond me. Never in my life have I had to deal with a school that deals with this method; which means I never get the class I need. Nobody ever answers and Fridays they leave early. Don’t pick this school. Go to a better one that gives a fair chance at registration for everybody on one date. Better it be first come first serve than some type of favoritism BS

I’ve been pretty patient with this college, I’m trying to get my associates in bio, almost done.. I just can’t stand the fact that the classes run out SO FAST. When you register, you have LESS than 10 hours to pay student fees or your kicked off the class completely, then someone else takes your spot!! …and your waitlisted. The waitlist is a joke! I’ve seen 51+ people on a waitlist! This school runs out of funds, so financial aid sucks. I’m very unhappy about graduating here. I will most likely transfer before I graduate because it’s that bad.

I heard lots of bad reviews about this school and I agree to what Susana Gonzalez said in the review. I’ve been through a lot, taking too many classes from counselor that gave different advice. I attended to this college since 2018. I’m trying my very BEST to transfer to calstate, but some of the classes are holding me back. I’m in the same situation where Professor said only a few students pass their classes. Is it the students fault or Professor is lacking the skills of teaching? Not just that, looking for Professor is like looking for goldmine. The class I want to take ONLY available in spring semester and ONLY ONE Professor teach that class. I always end up in waitlist due to my registration date comes later than every students. What a WASTE OF TIME!! Four stars review for this community college is a joke.

I love this school! Honors Enrichment Program is hands down the best thing there. From the advisors, the Professors that teach the Honors sections and the admin assoc..they are supportive and amazing and will help you succeed. All MSJC admin and staff are awesome. In my heart will always be an Eagle!

This school is not organized and gives students wrong information wasting their time to take classes that are not needed. All counselors give different advice. Some teachers think they are amazing by starting classes saying only 1 or 2 people have passed their class, what a sad reflection of their teaching. This just means you are not a good teacher and don't know how to differentiate lessons. My child has been very discouraged by all of it. Sad sad school. I have heard this from many people that have transferred for the same reasons. Ridiculous!!!

I am 27 years old, and I have attended multiple schools and graduated with a perfect GPA at each. This is my first community college. My first year was in January of 2024, Spring semester, I had no direction. They do not even inform students of how to use Canvas or what Canvas is. Thankfully, I am smart enough to figure out how to attend classes. I am now in my third semester. It was my first time being waitlisted. I did not receive a single email that I was put on a waitlist. When I first planned my classes and registered, it said I was indeed registered, and then days later, I decided to check on my classes and was surprisingly waitlisted. No email was sent out. I had to figure it out on my own. Following shortly, only one email was sent out, and all of a sudden, I was automatically enrolled. I didn't even know that could happen. There is no information on what to do on the Planning and Schedule page. I was only given one day, not even a full day to pay school fees for the auto enrolled class, and then the very next day with no opportunity to pay fees, I was dropped from the class. Students deserve more than a partial day, and more than one email notification to be notified about being AUTO ENROLLED into a class. Where is the professionalism. Is this school for the students? You have thousands of students who don't know what they are doing. Communicate properly. Don't expect students to know what to do. It's absolutely ridiculous. Our American education is not "free for all." You are playing with students' education and money in this manner.

Enrollment is a mess the administration side none of them are on the same page. How is it someone who applied back in high school had such a hard time trying to clear residency. My family already has it hard enough with being military and having to homestead so my child can successfully finish her two yrs in college now she will be behind her peers because of the miscommunication behind the residency department. The enrollment side I have left 3 voice mails not one person called me back . I went up to the school 4 to 5 times to see if someone can help. We left with no answers. Now the fall semester has started and it’s playing the waiting game with all the professors to see if they have room. I’m so disappointed in this process. I would’ve never thought community college was this difficult to get when the enrollment acceptance is supposed to 100%.
