Middle East Market in Berkeley is a hidden gem for authentic Middle Eastern flavors and a must-visit for anyone in the Bay Area. The store itself is stocked with an impressive range of groceries, spices, and specialty items that you can't find anywhere else, making it a paradise for home cooks and food enthusiasts alike.

Their restaurant is where the magic truly happens, offering some of the best kabobs in the Bay Area—especially their koubedeh, which is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection every time. The flavors are rich, authentic, and keep you coming back for more. On top of that, they have an incredible dessert bar filled with traditional sweets, and a deli area with ready-to-go meals that make weekday dinners so much easier.

Whether you're looking to stock up on essentials or enjoy a delicious meal, Middle East Market has it all. Highly recommend stopping by and tasting everything they have to offer!

What a hidden gem! Was craving delicious Persian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. Juicy meat, simple well cooked saffron rice, and so many amazing sweets at the sweets bar. Sour cherry pistachio and rose ones were our favorites! Not to mention the SUPER kind staff and amazing Iranian grocery selection. Highly recommend!

This is my go to place when I want something comforting and delicious. Everyone is always so kind and friendly. I love the offers of tea whenever I dine in and any leftovers taste just as delicious the next day. The prices, for the amount of food served, are affordable. One of my favorite places to eat in the East Bay.

I love this place so much. Mohammed and Priyanka at the counter couldn't be nicer; the guys in the back cook up fantastic food; and the selection of things like pitas, teas, spices, and so on can't be beat. I live an hour away but make it a point to stop by anytime I'm in their area. Keep up the great work!!

Finally got around to trying this spot and I regret not coming sooner! Ordered a plate and it lasted me at least 2 meals. Very comforting food and the pomegranate stew was delicious. Great market too - can’t wait to come back!

The prices of the products in this store are relatively higher than other similar stores. I ordered the kebab kobideh from this restaurant. The rice was good but the taste, quality and cooking method of the kebab was not good at all. It was also very salty.
