Worth the drive to Portage for this food! Hot dog, combo (Italian sausage and beef), homemade pizza puff, and hand cut fries were as good as what I grew up eating in Chicago! The owner and her granddaughter were awesome to talk to! Can’t wait to one back and try more!

10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! From the second we walked in the door our experience was over the top! The Owner and her granddaughter are amazing! When you crave that authentic Chicago Style food but don’t want to travel 2 1/2 hours, come see this family! You won’t be disappointed!!

Awesome family owned and operated authentic Chicago style food. The hot dogs, fries and Italian beef sandwich were all fantastic! Friendly service and a quaint atmosphere. Great vibe!!

Absolutely killer reminded me of my favorite child place for dogs. Audra is amazing even gave my wife and I some pointers on our own Italians beefs we do every Sunday. The fries were some of the best I’ve ever had and my son is now a believer in pizza puffs. We will be back often even if it’s 45 mins away.

It's a family run restaurant and it shows. The service was great and even the head chef came out to say hi. The decor is perfect with movie posters of Chicago based movies. The food was just like you'd get in some of Chicago's best. Recommend the Italian beef, breaded steak sandwich, and chicken vesuvio sandwich.

As someone who grew up in Chicago and was a feeling a bit homesick today, this place is as authentic as you can find in Michigan and absolutely hit the spot. Incredible Chicago dog and the Italian beef was sooo good, definitely the taste of home I was looking for! Amazing food, good prices, friendly people! Will definitely be going back!

First time going here, a friend of mine recommended it. Right when I walked in I loved the environment, felt very comfortable, very classic look to it. I got two Chicago style dogs and an order of fries. The dogs were the best I’ve had no doubt. All the toppings were perfect, the flavor was outstanding. Better than the dogs I’ve had in Chicago. Finished it all off with a homemade brownie that was to also amazing. This place is definitely a gem. You will not be disappointed stopping by.
