You absolutely live up to your name! We were at a veterans club near Grand Rapids for a birthday celebration (8-30), where they were passing out donated loaves of your bread at closing time. A HUGE loaf of Detroit Wheat! We refrigerated that loaf, and it fed us, and many others, all across Michigan at music festivals. French toast, garlic bread, crustinis, sandwiches, breakfast toast...it was fresh and delicious at every meal! We just finished the last piece with dinner. Thank you so much for nearly a month of delicious nourishment!

I'm from Germany and we call American bread "Toast Bread" because that's this "stick to the roof of ones mouth" bread is all that's good for! After 35 years in Michigan I have discovered an American Bread that's simply delicious. It's the Michigan Bread Company's "French Deli" bread!! It comes in a nice long loaf, nice thick and large slices, suitable for constructing a delicious sandwich. Kroger has given it a special home, away from the horrible, thin sliced Toast Bread. Try it, you won't be disappointed !

My local Kroger is selling some of Michigan Bread Bakery's products, and I've purchased their sourdough bread a couple of times now. The loaf is massive, (42 oz.), an incredible value at $4.99, and the crust, interior texture, and flavor are as close to perfect as I've ever had the pleasure to eat. This bread makes the best French toast EVER, and paninis that you'd be proud to serve to anyone. Try it and see for yourself!

If I could give less then 1 star I would...seen delivery person stocking so I assumed it would be fresh bread at my local kroger despite his homely appeal..I decided to try some Michigan's bread sourdough appeared ok but the very next day it was covered in mold..never supporting this company again🤮

Have never visited the bakery but frequently buy the pretzel buns at my local Kroger. The pretzel buns deserve a 5 star rating, alone. True pretzel flavor with exceptional texture.

Bought their "Detroit Sourdough" from a grocery store and it was *not* good at all. It's very, very white, with nothing like the mouthfeel of a good sourdough. When toasted, it turns out dry and felt like styrofoam in the mouth. There's nothing sourdough about it.
