Be careful what you purchase at this business. I went in asking for help selecting a metal roof for my tiny home project. I assumed they had the expertise to steer me in the right direction. I was sold 5 inch gable end and eve trim to install on a roof with 4 inch facia boards. Needless to say it wouldn’t have worked. Metals direct has a no refund policy. I guess they needed a few hundred dollars more than they needed a returning customer.

We recently had Metals Direct install a new 27x30 metal garage to replace one that collapsed from a heavy snow load. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and Metals Direct's super support throughout, especially Erik and Annalissa. Erik helped plan a structure with heavier load-bearing capacity and a steeper roof pitch. Importantly to me, he suggested small changes to the original dimensions that reduced the bracing requirements, and therefore the cost.

This was a first-time build for Metals Direct in our county. Annalissa drove all the way over to deal directly with the responsible county department and their detailed requirements, some of which differed from her experience, and otherwise could have been "gotchas". She also discovered that there was an incomplete final inspection from an earlier build at our place, which threatened to sideline this project. Annalissa to the rescue! She worked out an arrangement that allowed our work to proceed.

We used our own contractor for the concrete pad. I was impressed with the way that Annalissa stitched together our contractor's busy schedule, Metals Direct's multiple bookings, and difficult weather to get the job done. I was especially impressed with her courtesy in staying in touch with updates. And she always called back when I had questions.

I want to put in a word for the crew, too. Really hard working and courteous. Left the area neat and clean. And the quality of work / attention to detail was excellent.

These guys are good. Highly recommended.

Metals Direct is top of the heap. Not only is their staff knowledgeable but they actually listen when you have a project. I've read some of the reviews on Google and some people are just impossible to please. I had a couple of projects that were difficult and very far outside the realm of normal for a metal building and fabrication company and needless to say they hit two very big home runs for me. The entire staff was helpful and knowledgeable and walked me through the process every step of the way! The request I thought may be impossible they embraced and made it a reality! Only people I know of where if you can think it up and it is made of metal they will move mountains to get you exactly what you want or even better!

I live over 100 miles from Metals Direct, due to unforeseen traffic issues I was late for my pick up time. The yard was closed, however the office was open. I spoke with Steve and Shane and may or may not have had a small tantrum/meltdown when they said I couldn't pick up my order. Instead of telling me too bad, don't be late! (Which they had every right to do) They spoke with their supervisor and were able to get the yard open and load the metal themselves. They were both extremely professional and helpful. Shane even took the time to answer some questions about roll up doors. Both men were extremely polite and personable. Office staff was friendly too. The best customer service I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this establishment.

They wanted me to pay them $ 300.00 to come out and give me a estimate to repair a metal building that a customer backed into, Never have heard of paying for an estimate. I would understand if it was out of town ,but I’m only 10 minutes from the business. Shame on you for doing that to a local small business. definitely will never recommend this place to anyone.

We were ready to give them the credit card to purchase metal for our re-roof project, just wanted to confirm final price & a estimated delivery time frame. Ashton's demeanor & approach to me was concerning & threw up red flags for me especially when he gave me a spill of how hard it is to get metal, not able to give me a final price (even though 2 months ago he provided an estimate without any issue) & was pushing me away by his bantering. He also insisted for me to come in to his shop, I had to keep telling him that I lived 4 hours away & unable to come, why couldn't we deal with this over the phone. I've never dealt with a company that pushes away a customer who is ready to give them money, unbelievable. needless to say I don't recommend them, I was able to find a local company that was close to their prices & was able to deliver within a week.

I recently purchased a metals direct 10x12 shed for approximately $2,500. After being quoted approximately $1,200 to build the shed, I decided to do it myself because I heard that it wasn't difficult. I have found that the directions to build it yourself are terrible. I have called once to get a clarification since the directions didn't match the invoice with the items included in the kit. I continued on and found more things that weren't clear in the directions. I inquired with the sales manager to find out if there was a youtube video that I could follow that gave me a clearer idea on how to build the shed. I was told that there was no video.
Keep in mind that the directions to the shed were the same directions for any size shed/shop (many of which didn't apply to my shed). After building my shed myself and being about half way completed, I asked the sales manager to see if someone from Metals Direct would finish building my shed. He said that more then likely they would finish building the shed. Keep in mind I am about 1/2 way completed building the shed. They gave me a quote for $1,040 to finish this shed that is 1/2 way completed. I inquired to the sales manager to see if this was a mistake in the quote & never received a reply. If I ever purchase another shed/shop, I will seek a quote elsewhere.
