Meat block has been in business since 1909 and is one of the absolute BEST places to purchase fresh meat, seafood, seasonings, and odds and ends! They have such a wide variety and selection of meats, from beef, pork, lamb, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, and crab legs, down to frog legs.. They have the largest variety (that I have seen) of seasoning blends also. They have buns and bread, Mackinac Island fudge, dog n suds root beer, Ice box brand ice cream, locally grown and packaged/canned items for sale, and much, much more! Their prices are absolutely affordable for the quality of their items! It is worth the trip. I love to shop locally and this is my favorite place for delicious cuts of meat! This place comes highly recommended in our community and by my friends and family as well! We have been shopping here for years and hope to continue for many more years to come!

Omg these steaks are some of if not the best I have ever had. Customer service 10 out of 10. Our son asked for a Tomahawk for his 18th birthday and we definitely delivered with the help of the Meat block . Thanks so much we will definitely be changing where we purchase our meat .

Absolutely fantastic service. I overestimated my budget (eyes too big for my stomach sort of thing) but realized this after items were rung up.
I wish I wrote down the name of the gracious staff who helped me- she was super understanding, patient and friendly. She did not give me a hard time and took the time to remove the items. Then she gave me excellent suggestions for how to optimize my budget, tailored to my preferences to boot.
I recommend this place without hesitation.

Great selection of various cuts of meat. Prices seem a little high, but it is my opinion that you get your money's worth with quality and flavor. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I've bought meat products that range from brisket burger patties to a whole pig

Had to cook the New York strip medium well for wife and kids. It was still fork tender and juicy. Fantastic cuts of meat. Their premarinated chicken is delicious too.
