I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Masala House Groceries on 10/11/2024. They opened at 10 AM, and I arrived right on time to buy some coconuts. When I noticed they had a curtain covering the vegetable area, I pulled it back to grab a coconut.

Suddenly, a skinny guy approached me and rudely demanded, "Why didn't you wait two minutes? What if a fire starts? Who's responsible?" I was taken aback by his aggressive tone. I tried to calmly ask why he was so upset, but he insisted he wasn't angry. Yet, his face was red, which made me question if he was either hungover or just plain angry.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable in customer service. They really need training to treat customers with respect and courtesy.

Over priced with everything!! I regret stopping by at this shop for taking the groceries. Every item in this shop is priced way to high as compared to other stores. I recently purchased Divya’s for Diwali and this owner charged me 11.99$ for a normal (without any design) Divya’s which were 11 in count. Like seriously!!! For normal rangoli powder they charged 3.6$ for one small box…
I normally avoid putting reviews but this was one of the worst Indian grocery stores that I visited in last 5 years near Los Angeles area. Buyers be very aware about the cost if you are shopping from this store.

This ppl make us fool by selling things more then there real price. Whatever price comes in there mind they sell by that price. They cheat people by not putting price tag on shelf. I do not recommend anyone buying but if you are buying things from this store you should check there receipt after cash out. There are many other asian and indian store where you can go and buy things at good price.

Excellent Indian food. Great friendly staff. Love their setup, all items are right in front of you so you know exactly what you are getting. You can buy items individually or as a combo. Currently their dinning area is closed, but you can pickup to go.

Extremely over priced. Not sure what’s making them price so high. With such large Indian community, cannot fleece anymore. Will not recommend anyone to go here. 5 miles away we have better Indian locations.

Groceries are very expensive compared to other stores in the area. I hope they do price check and reduce or have competitive pricing.
