Three of the four egg dishes were luke warm. An omelet was not cooked through. Egg portions were small. Realize egg prices are higher, but they must be using small eggs.

Hashbrowns had no crust on them and barely browned. Also not hot.

Sausage links were very good as was the sourdough toast and coffee. Server was very attentive and polite.

Mentioned eggs were cold when paying and they just said "ok".

First time we've eaten here since it changed to Mark's.

Didn’t know the place had changed hands. Thought we’d try it. Overall, pretty unremarkable. The prices were quite high. $10.99 ft ft or one waffle? Really! If you wanted egg white omelette it was an additional $3.00 (for less of an egg)? The service was quick, the food was just OK. We had pancakes and French toast. The French toast was priced quite high for a few pieces of Texas style bread. Our server was just ok. Had to ask for a warm up on my coffee. The squeeze bottle of syrup was cold. Would have been nice to have warm syrup for my pancakes, which weren’t steaming hot to begin with.
Overall, I’d give this place a “C”. We won’t be back. Good luck in your new endeavor.

New menu with a lot more options than the previous restaurant at this location had, I look forward to trying new things. Good luck on this new venture Mark!

The restaurant was clean, organized and well lit. My server (Kylie) was attentive and swift at addressing my needs and was cordial and professional in her demeanor. If I decide to return to the restaurant it will be, in part, because of my positive interaction with Kylie.

The young woman (Katie) that met me at the entrance was another story. Upon entering the restaurant Katie did not greet me with a smile, but rather simply handed me a menu and told me to sit wherever I wanted as she turned her back to me and walked away. Her interaction with me was "cold" and I felt as if I wasn't welcome. I contemplated leaving, but decided to stay to assess the " complete experience."

Recommendation: Offer training on customer service which includes the power of the smile and the significance of eye contact. Restructure your team so that the frontline staff (those that directly interact with your customer base) fully embrace customer service and reflect those beliefs in their interactions. If you identify staff that are not able to treat everyone with dignity and respect, then remove them from any role that necessitates direct customer interaction.

I used to love this place, but ever since the rebrand. The quality of the food and the service has changed. Mark is nice and so is this older lady with black hair. The rest of the staff constantly complains and is in a rush even when not busy. At times it seems purposeful. Food has come out cold or partially not-done. I'm hopeful for improvement while things settle down but not a fan anymore. Especially for the price and simplicity for the food.

Food was underwhelming. Pancakes were alright, but breakfast burrito had lukewarm potatoes and very bland sausage. Coffee was not great. For comparable prices, East Egg is much better right across the street.

We had a great brunch at Mark’s Diner for their opening day. Their servers were timely and very friendly and I really enjoyed the Michigan breakfast bowl. Look forward to returning soon!

We have been coming to this restaurant for years, but with the new changes we will not be back. I ordered a farmer’s omelette which I’ve had for years. I got a western omelette. When I pointed this out to the waitress she looked at me as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. A western has green peppers all over it while a farmers has no green peppers, and does have hash browns inside. She reluctantly took the omelette away and soon returned with a western with no green peppers only half cooked. I pointed it out and she said that the cook was
new and inexperienced. It was terrible and the whole experience made us know never to come back. Mark - get rid of the terrible cook and start cooking yourself as you did all those years before you took over.
