I stumbled upon this bakery on accident. I was looking for a different shop but couldn’t find it. I pulled over and sitting in front of me was Lorraine’s bake shop. Before I even made it to the door I could smell the delicious baked goods. Inside, the place is beautiful and cozy! Everything is reasonably priced. The pumpkin spiced cupcake looked so good I ate it soon as I got into my car! It was delicious I wanted to go back in there and get me another one! The oatmeal cookie was very good as well. I was pleased to see they serve matcha she made it exactly how I like it! I will be making another visit very soon(:

Very comfortable atmosphere. The people were friendly and the establishment was very inviting. I liked the order of it and the cleanliness. It was easy to order and easy to understand. The goodies appeared to be fresh. I ordered the pecan praline on a waffle cone and I really enjoyed it. The prices are fair and not gouging. This is a great addition to the city! They are open on Thursday- Saturday from noon till 8pm. Great hangout spot.

As we walked around downtown Montgomery, AL/ Court Square we happened upon Lorraine’s Bake Shop. We stopped in for treats…:and what a wonderful time we had!! The “homemade” cookies, other baked goods, coffee, & hot apple cider were delicious!!! The atmosphere was inviting and those who worked there so friendly !!!! Any time we are back in Montgomery, we will definitely stop in again at Lorraine’s Bake Shop!!

What an amazing find! I had this place bookmarked before leaving Tampa. It just happened to pop up on Google reviews as being a new bakery. I didn't exactly know where it was until the baristas at Prevail Union pointed me in the right direction. Low and behold, it was right across the street from Lower Dexter Park and next door to Island Delight. It's difficult to see the sign from across the street. Just look for the mixing tools on the glass windows.

It's such a cozy atmosphere. It has a farm house feel. There's lots of seating. I believe they serve coffee and tea as well. Lorraine was very friendly, and gave us an introduction to all of her baked goodies. I knew I hit the bakery jackpot as soon as I entered. The aroma of fresh baked cookies hit me almost immediately. I couldn't get just one item. I ended up getting the very popular ginger oatmeal cream pie. There was already a customer eating one of these cookie sandwiches when we arrived. He wasn't the first to recommend it. One of the baristas at Prevail Union said that I must get one. She was right. I split it with my brother who also thought it was very good. I loved it so much that I got another one the next day. Only this time, I didn't share it. All the cookies I had throughout the 3 days I was there were delicious. My personal favorites are the white chocolate macadamia and the chocolate chip cookies. I only wish I had bought more to take home with me. Everything I had was freshly baked with love.

This will be on the top of my list the next time I'm in MGM. I'm hoping to go back one day soon with my husband. It's THE place to go if you have a sweet tooth like me. It's a short walk from all the museums, hotels, and stadium. They also bake for special occasions. All of you living in MGM are so lucky to have it. Support this new local bakery!

This is not just a bakery, but Lorraine’s Bakery is for the community! The hospitality, the coziness, the love, the people - this is a beautiful house of faith & I love Lorraine’s Bakery. The Matcha & Oatmeal Cookies are my favorite, I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Went to a cookie decorating event here recently and loved it. The space is very warm and inviting. The folks there are so nice and helpful. But of course the reason to visit are the goodies and wow is it worth a visit, and many more. I was never a big fan of sugar cookies but Lorraine’s has converted me. The best sugar cookie I’ve ever had. Lots of other wonderful treats as well. So glad this shop is downtown. It’s a wonderful addition to Montgomery and I highly recommend it.
