Wanted to check out the aquarium shop and ended up going through both buildings and buying a ton of stuff. Including chicken feed, garden tools, pet shrimp, and some springtails for my paludarium. Try to get that at one location elsewhere. Told my daughter about the boutique, I'll sure she'll be a fan of that place. Lots of decorations and clothing items. Almost pulled the trigger on those pies. Regretting I didn't 😆

The staff here are very knowledgeable when it comes to taking care of my chickens. Everyone I come in contact with has a smile on their face and makes it seem like they are happy to be at work. It's very close to my home, and I love to support our local economy. I hope Lee's Feed continues to do well for years to come!

Really nice store for ranch supplies but as I am a city boy who goes there with my son to get horse supplies I just like the clothing and merchandise. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy what they do.

They are severely understaffed. No one supporting new fish area. I’ve been here a couple times since the remodel. Walked out the first time after waiting more than 1/2 hour for assistance. About to walk out again. Won’t be back.

How in the world can you always have a positive experience when you go into a business? Just go to Lee's Feed in Shingle Springs!
I live in Fairplay, California near Omo Ranch, so this feed store is not exactly near me. But now I go out of my way to regularly go there because of the unbelievable customer service there. I have been helped at the hay barn, the dog and cat supplies, and my most favorite place in the store now, the tropical fish and fish supplies Department!
I saved a poor betta fish from certain death at the hands of my 19-year-old daughter 😅 who got him for a Christmas present, and wasn't thrilled with having an unwanted live animal as her responsibility. When I saved "Bluey" from the loneliness that came from trying to be part of her extremely busy complicated life, I was very disappointed in the gift-giver who also gave her no instructions at all just the fish and a little bit of food.
She had just moved in to be a full-time caretaker for an elderly lady and was dealing with the move and the new job and the new responsibilities and of course a million other things at 19 years old, and freshly on her own, away from home.
But right up the street from Lee's Feed!
I was so thrilled to have this little fishy!
I got on Google and I did massive research! Then I got on Facebook Marketplace and bought almost a complete 3 gallon setup used from somebody. Now Bluey had a mansion! I also got some more tankmates from Lee's feed! Everyone in the fish department was so unbelievably helpful and each worker seemed truly delighted with my new hobby! Unfortunately in my quest to be economical, I bought some test strips from a thrift store. And as my fishies seemed to be getting stressed out in their immaculate house, my test trips were not telling me the truth about the water safety for them. And when Bluey died and a couple of his other tank mates I was absolutely DEVASTATED. 😭
The workers at Lees Feed, those great kids, really comforted me.
I found out that they would professionally test my water anytime for free. And as I purchased some more fishies, and went through the learning curve of having these beautiful pets in my home, I have really fallen in love with everyone in the fish department at Lee's Feed.
I have recently purchased a brand new larger tank, a 10 gallon tank, that has LED lights, a bubble wall and live plants and all the other things that make my aquarium glorious!
When I go into Lee's Feed to get my water tested regularly, I get a warm, happy welcome and great suggestions, such as recently, you can purchase little packets of tiny frozen worms for a treat for your fishies. Gross, but they love it!😂
I just can't tell you how much is this aquarium and my fishies have enriched my life at 60 years old.
And Lees Feed fish department has been an integral part of my success!
Thank you so much Lee's Feed for employing such sterling workers in every department. Everyone is so friendly and educated in their department. Everyone is so helpful and seems genuinely happy to work there.
This is very rare. And that is why I've taken so much of my precious time to write this heartfelt review.

Purchased a Gold Gourami as my final centerpiece fish for my Fluval Flex low tech planted tank yesterday, 10/27/24. It was cool to see the new setup they have in place for the aquatic department, it looked great. I recently got back into the hobby after a couple years away. It was really nice to come back into the store for the first time in over 2 years. Staff is beyond amazing as always and the store is such a treat to be inside of.

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to a nasty ich outbreak on all my neon tetras that I had shipped to me a month ago. I just got this tank fully established, and now I will have to nuke it with meds and restart over 1 bad fish. Very frustrating. The only factor that could have possibly introduced it is the new Gourami.

I have been coming here for over a decade, and this disappointed me heavily. I expect top tier livestock quality from Lees, as has always been the case in the past. Lees should be quarantining all of their fish and treating them prior to sale. Admittedly, I should be quarantining too, but I have severe space limitations that make that not a possibility for me at the moment.

This was a lovely welcome back into the aquarium world. I pray that my livestock losses will be minimal. Please Lees, quarantine and medicate fish prior to sale. This is the reason hobbyists come to you guys, not Petco or Petsmart. We trust that your quality and level of care for the fish is magnitudes higher than the big box stores. This experience unfortunately did not reflect that sentiment. 1 $6 Gourami will end up potentially costing me my entire neon population and so much time getting this tank established 🙁
