Fantastic experience. I shot a deer last Saturday morning, took it to a different processor, only to find them closed. With the warm temperatures, I frantically searched for a processor that was open and would accept my deer. I called Lazy J, they said they were open and would wait for me to get there. They called on Monday to ask if I wanted any fat mixed with the brats I ordered. My deer was ready the next day. Fair prices, clean store, responsive staff and high quality product. I will certainly will be back!

Finally got time to go get our half of cow from my parents, very disappointed in packaging (so many of our 1lb ground beef packages are NOT a pound, some over filled, some under filled, no consistency) and quantity of the meat. Not to mention we specifically asked for the organs of the cow, and only received 3 very small pieces of liver, a cow liver is HUGE. And the tongue of 'our cow' conveniently was packaged differently AND had a $15 price tag on it. Very shady and obviously disorganized business.

We got 2 beef butchered Nov 15. We are not happy! I wanted the hamburger lean (90%) & it looks like sausage it's so fatty. Plus it has chunks of grisel in every package. Gross! My minute steaks are tough as they were only ran thru the tenderize once. The steaks have too much fat left on them.

5/13/24 I made spaghetti & nearly broke my tooth off from 2 pieces of bone I found in the burger!
AND no 2 one pound packages of hamburger are the same size!!! I have a picture!

Hands down, the steaks I've bought here are the best I've ever enjoyed. I'm hosting a group of friends this weekend for a rib-eye steak dinner. They're about to find out what I already know.

My husband and I raise cattle and we took one of our cows in for processing. It was around 1,000lbs and we only got 220lbs of meat back. Not only was this significantly below what we were expecting, but the meat is also the toughest we've ever received. We typically get 1-2 cows processed every year at other meat shops and it has never come back so tough or with such a low yield.

We had a half of beef with a tail weight of 415 pounds and only received 190 pounds of meat from a half of beef. They claimed 50% loss at the tail was normal. This has not been our experience at other meat lockers. We are use to bring home over 300 pounds of beef from a half. Not only was this the outcome of our half, but we had two other halves that were short meat and then had quarters that were short. Very unhappy and he wasn’t willing to do anything about it! We will never go back to them

I had a beef processed at this locker in July. I was shorted ~260 POUNDS of meat based off the usual hanging weight to processed weight ratios. The locker is pointing their finger at the rancher, the rancher is pointing their finger at the locker. The rancher says that we are not the only people they have had complain about this locker. The locker will not respond to me. I am guessing the locker is thieves at this point and that they wrongly thought I wouldn’t know how much meat to expect. Would not recommend them to anyone.

We had a deer processed in November. Excellent service, and good amount of meat received back. The facility was very clean.
