We had an amazing time at Larson Family Winery. We came on a day where the road in was impacted by flooding, but managed to make our way through. The winery was closed (due to the flooding…) but Hayden ran out and offered to open the place up since we were there! The place itself was fantastic — animal lovers, you will love this winery. We had the Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir that were all enjoyable. Hayden brought us a charcuterie board which was very thoughtful. We spent the time playing cornhole!

Thank you Hayden, your generosity doesn’t go unnoticed!

They have the comfy, authentic feel down. Not a bit pretentious, just some people that like wine. The tasting area has all the makings for a fantastic afternoon. Games, a variety of seatings, sports if you’d like, and wine. Really good wine! They have a great selection of reds and an equally impressive selection of whites. The new Malbec is really good and the different cab varieties touch many notes. They have a bubbly rosé which was very good. I will enjoy the bottles I brought home and look forward to the next visit.

We visited Larson with a large party of 9 (and 3 dogs) on a Sunday and had a great experience! The flights had a nice variety and mix of varietals from Chardonnay to a very tasty Three Lab Cab.

Brian was an amazing host and we were able to get a very informative tour through the barreling and bottling process, as well as access to the vineyards. Definitely recommend visiting Larson. Not to mention they are super dog friendly!

Visited a total of 7 wineries during our trip to Sonoma and the BEST time at Larson Family Winery. It was such a unique experience here compared to other wineries. We were able to tour the vines, taste wine right out of a barrel, and a tank, and compare them to finished product. Brian was our guide, make sure to ask for him if you go! He was a pro at dealing with our group of 6 women 🙂 Thank you so much for hosting us!

This is a great place to go for an afternoon of wine tasting. It's family friendly, dog friendly, and probably the most unpretentious winery in Northern California. The wines are great and the staff is super friendly. Spent the afternoon there today listening to live jazz and taking pictures.

Update: They reopened a few months ago after a fire early in the year burned the tasting room to the ground. There is currently no tasting room, but they are planning to rebuild one. They have somewhat expanded their outdoor tasting area and can seat quite a large number of people outside.

We truly enjoyed our last wine tasting at Larson Family Winery. Quaint, personal and homey, this was the best way to end our Sonoma County Pass. Favourite wine for the tasting — Wingo White! Special shouts to Jeanie who was both attentive and proactive and ensuring we had an awesome time.

“Wine god” took care of us. A refreshing hidden gem that is the exact opposite of stuck up. Really laid back and friendly with some pretty decent wines. Loved the combination of shading and sunshine. The vibes were immaculate with some easy going jams playing in the background and property dogs roaming around (people friendly). Would def come back. Felt more like a Paso Robles country side vibe than a seen-and-be-seen valley vineyard.
