Forewarned, the location is a bit hard to spot as it looks like a residential home, but rest assured it’s Koi Outlet. We needed to refill Hikari in a large bag. We couldn’t wait for an on line order. Glad we decided to make the drive to Koi Outlet. Greeted by a very friendly Gent. He showed the options in food. His store is well stocked with pumps, fitting, nets, fish food. But it is small so bet you just ask for what you need. The ponds are stocked with brilliant fish of superb quality and of various sizes. We get our zen just watching them swim around. We have found our new supplier. Support local small business.

This is a hidden treasure in El Monte. If you don’t google Koi store specifically I bet you will never know it even you pass by here every single day.
They don’t have signs or pictures or anything related to koi on the precise. You can’t even tell what business when standing in their parking lot. There are literally just wooden and concrete blocks.
However when you step in the zone. You will be amazed immediately by the satisfied peaceful joyful feelings from all the colorful koi.
Additionally, the boss was very nice and helpful! He was always calm and amiable! He organized the place well and kept it very clean. This was rare found clean Bussiness that I would go with peace in mind amid the pandemic.

For koi keepers or enthusiasts, this is a great place to shop for all things koi related. The owner David is friendly and very helpful with any concerns or questions that you may have.

Pricing for supplies and fish are very reasonable. Bought a new yellow colored koi from here and it couldn’t be any happier in our pond. I highly recommend buying your koi here as the level of care here demonstrated is very good. Fish are very healthy, removing your worries of a potential die-off(although nothing is guaranteed).

Great setup!
The owner did a great job in setting up this place. It might be tricky to find at first, but once I parked, I was in Koi heaven! This is my own first pond, and he was gracious enough to walk me through what I would need for a complete set-up. STRONGLY recommend coming here before going elsewhere as he has a good variety of most things you will need for your pond.

The guy who runs this store is rude and his fish are unhealthy! I bought a nice nisai koi from him and it literally died a week after I purchased it and when I asked him about it, he started screaming at me and saying it was my fault. I have several other fish in the pond and they're all healthy but he didn't care. He refused to accept responsibility and started blaming me for everything. Buy fish here at your own risk! When they die, I'm sure the owner will scream at and blame you for it!
