I’ve been to Karl Strauss many times. Food is always good and their beer is even better! Servers are always really cool too. Great place to go for work lunches and on the weekend and evening still a great place for going and bringing kids along as well. I should have many more pictures of their awesome food, I recommend the Salmon Cesar. The Drunken Shrimp is great as well, reminds me of when they used to serve Shrimp and Grits way back when!

Great place to grab a drink and food after work. Plus they have both outdoor and indoor searing great for large parties. Plus a koi pond. Parking is good, however there is ongoing construction that makes it a little difficult to navigate around around the lot.

Food was good, mac n cheese was more salty then flavourful. The pastrami sandwhich was excellent! And the rest was pretty good. Atmosphere is amazing at this place because of the beautiful koi pond. Just need the servers to step up their game and would be one of the best brew pubs in San diego!

A zen moment in the busy area. This is my favorite location for Karl Strauss. A bit chilly in winter ( they have heaters to help). But amazing summer vibes to just relax with friends

This is an excellent bar and restaurant that happens to be a hidden gem in the middle of an urban area.

It it located in what seems to be in the middle of a business building area, but is surrounded by an oasis of trees and a beautiful pond.

I believe this used to be a Japanese restaurant some years back, and the decor in the garden is very Japanese - complete with coy fish.

The beer and bar selection is quite good, with excellent craft beers on tap.

The food is typical bar fair, but one step elevated, with excellent taste and presentation.

I really love the food here.

It’s really a great place to meet friends, or just come hang out on a nice summer day.

I’ll come back anytime!
