Showed up at 8:25 old man seen us pull up and decided to lock up the store. Really sucked needed ice, cooler, beer, soda, worms, and snack. Guess he didn’t want our business. Had our friends stop in Redding and get us what we needed. For anyone else you should probably do the same!!

Best little market on the way to and from Whiskeytown,. Need bacon for breakfast or you just ran out of milk? Head to J’s. Cold beer and ice, wine & snacks for the lake? Stop at J’s. Super sweet owners always appreciate your business. This is a landmark in Old Shasta 🥰.

This place is the epitomy of the phrase "Mom and Pop"...I stop here every chance I get. The owners are delightful and always have a smile for their customers. The drinks are cold and there are lots of snack options!
