I sort of accidentally ended up here for dinner on Thursday night. Nothing good on door dash, so I decided to venture out. The wind was howling, I was tired and hungry and wanted a drink. The place down the street wasn’t yet serving food, and I almost missed the turn for this one. But I’m glad I found it. It’s the perfect environment for me: dimly lit, quiet, beautiful, and haunted. 😉 The scenery is wonderful. And, the service was exceptional.

This place is worth it for the views alone. The sound of the gentle lapse on the beach below is pure bliss.
But the drinks and food here are also wonderful and make the atmosphere perfect. We sat outside, so I couldn't speak for the inside except when I used the washroom. It was also being set up for a wedding on the inside but looked large and spacious.
We got the pepperoni pizza, truffle fries, and the grain bowl all were exceptional.
The wait staff was attentive and kind.

My boyfriend and I are from out of town and came across the Jolly Pumpkin while exploring the area between vineyards. The bartender (I believe his name was Scott) was so personable and recommended the happy hour sliders and drinks. He was great to chat with and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend if you want a quick bite and a good drink while in the area!

Stopped in for a late lunch. Service was fast and friendly. I got the JP Nachos and a water. The nacho dish overall was not bad, but the spice and sauce on the pulled pork was spicier than I would have liked it to be. They sure didn’t skimp on the cheese!

First beer I have liked!
Food is really really good and there is a lot of variety. The environment is rustic and cozy.
They accidentally left wax paper on the cheese on my sandwich, but I took it off before I ate. They offered to remake my sandwich anyway, and after I said it was fine -- these kinds of mistakes are easy to make -- they even took it off the bill!! Really great experience.

The Jolly Pumpkin is one of the few places to eat on the Old Mission Peninsula. Their food and beer is delicious, the grounds are beautiful, and the atmosphere is very inviting with a lot to look at. There is even a ghost story they can give you to read and you can walk around to see where the ghost is said to be spotted.
My husband and I both ordered the American Waygu Beef Burger with fries ($17.50) and it did not disappoint. It came out in a timely manner. Everything was hot and well seasoned.

We asked for vegetarian loaded nachos which was okaish but the chips were crispy! Mac and cheese was delicious a little gravy or cheese could have tasted better. Overall good food and draft beers. I’d recommend this place for vegetarian 🌱

Jolly Pumpkin is a well-known local haunt. The environment around you reminds me of a place the Hogwarts kids would go to enjoy a meal. Which I absolutely loved. As an appetizer, we ordered the garlic fries. They were cooked to perfection. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich, which I was disappointed with. Entirely way too much mustard and very little mayo. Mixed with spicy pickles, it was too bitter, which took away from the sandwich. Our waitress was fantastic as she was very helpful and prompt. Overall, the experience was pleasant. If we return, I will choose another entree.
