John and Pondrea are the best! The nursery is off the beaten path but it is a gem. Well worth the drive we made from Spring Hill to Lakeland. So many plants, and the advice, hints, knowledge priceless. Thank you John and Pondrea!

Not a good experience at all. I ordered lotus tubers, which shows three that are named in the collection that I ordered. However I only received one tuber, and have no idea which one. It isn't marked at all. John's Pond Plants doesn't respond to email at all, even though I've sent three emails over the course of the last few weeks. Shipping was very slow and no communication only made me even more frustrated. Now I have two empty pots for the two tubers which never arrived with no explanation. Contrast that to Bergan Water Gardens who was very communicative, shipped
out immediately and sent exactly what I ordered. They were very pleasant and answered all questions. I won't be ordering from John's again.

UPDATE: Plants are still doing great, BUT now I have an Ich parasite on all my fish. It had to be introduced from the plants as I haven't put any new fish or other organics in the pond that might have had this parasite on them.
I should have quarantined and treated the plants before putting them in my pond! Ugh!!

Ordered the 5 + 5 + 5 (Hyacinth, Water Lettuce, Parrots Feather Combo) and they arrived yesterday. Really nice, big, healthy plants. I live in KY and the plants were shipped usps, wrapped in a plastic bag inside a box with plenty of moisture. I'm really impressed! Last year I ordered from an ebay seller and the poor plants looked like they had been squashed and struggled all summer to thrive. I was worried i would have a similar experience with John's, nope, just the opposite. John's will be my go-to from now on!

disappointed, I did not receive the amount of plants I ordered or even the correct plants. I was actually sent Water Lettuce and Water Hyacinth which I just found out is illegal to possess here in FL without a special permit. I didnt get any hornwort, red ludwigia or wisteria. I have called and left two voicmails, no one answers the phone or has called me back. I would have like to resolve this with them instead of leaving a bad review as it seems other people have had great experiences ordering from them. Unfortunately, this was not the case with my order. I would like the plants I paid for or a refund of my money. My next step will escalate beyond google reviews as I'm not even sure what to do with these illegal plants. John's Ponds, if this was a simple mistake please make it right, it happens to the best of us. I will gladly change my review and not proceed with further action. Thank You

I've ordered many plants from John and they are always healthy and beautiful. His customer service is off the charts. He has always replied to every question I've sent him. I won't buy my pond plants anywhere else!

We showed up unannounced and John and his wife were very welcoming. John explained every plant, how to plant it, and its care. He's very knowledgeable! Super cute dogs too!!

Found this place through amazon. Price is very low for pond plant. . plants measured about 2 inches the size of a small dandelion weed plant. Out of the 15 plants 4 were dead(online it stated extra plants would be in delivery!). They used the us postal service for delivery which took 5 days. The plants were wrapped in wet newspaper in a plastic bag. Hopefully since pond plants grow like weeds the others will be fine. Be cautious if you are ordering a large batch or high end plants.
