Rich was INCREDIBLE!!!! Made our experience so memorable! His interaction with us was so personable and he added to the whole experience! Even with a short power outage it was awesome! Thanks Rich for a great wine tasting! As members we like to see how employees are treated and the guy who walked in shaking his head was, quite honestly, a HUGE TURN OFF! But the fact that you had been so accommodating did not deter us from buying 2 additional bottles! Mike and Jenny Duran members❤️

A marvelous wine tasting opportunity. While they are one of the largest producers and distributors of wine, the tasting gives you access to their retail wines as well as their members-only and limited production wines. They have large vineyards between Monterey Bay and Paso Robles and source several varieties from others in the Central Coast. Tastings are generally an hour with servings of five wines and great discussions of their many wines and grapes. Interactions with staff makes tastings a very worthwhile experience.

My nephew and I went there to taste a few different wines, and found many we like. The dessert wine is definitely a memorable experience. We are not wine people of any type. So this was a good experience for the both of us. I would recommend this place to anyone who was a wine experience without driving up to Napa.

We were there on March 12, 2024. Reservations were made to have a seated tasting. Vicki was our hostess. She was very knowledgeable about theJ. Lohr family and wines. Since my niece and nephew-in-law live a few blocks away they decided to purchase a membership. With the membership our tastings were free and there was a discount on the wine we purchased. Our small plates were also discounted. My niece and hubby will definitely get use out of their membership. If you are in the area, give J. Lohr a try.

Visited in November 2017. Had a Groupon for a wine and cheese pairing. Felt a little rushed because it was near closing time/last appointment spot time but otherwise the staff were super friendly and willing to explain the wines and of course the wine/cheese pairing was pretty good. They are also open daily for free tasting (from what they said)

Great tasting experience, went during the week so it wasn't crowded. Very nice atmosphere. Way walking distance to multiple restaurants, we took the time to let our blood alcohol level normalize!

A little part of Napa in San Jose. Minutes from the Rose Garden and the Tank. Great setting for wine tasting, indoors and out. Large parties (5 or more) are encouraged to make reservations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the wines.
