Full disclosure I’ve never really a bar pie or tavern style pizza. I’ve only read about it and found out about this place through a subreddit.

What I “know” of tavern style, or bar style, it’s thin, crispy, cut into squares, and hold its form without sagging.

This pizza, only served on Mondays, checked those boxes. It really reminds me of a New Haven style crust. There’s a good crisp and chew. The sauce was robust. I have no idea how I could feel a good amount of sauce and still get that crunch.

They also have Zabs hot sauce which really worked well with the pizza.

10/10.

Oh, they also having a parking lot. And beer. Yes, they have beer.

Delicious vegan slices! Vegan ranch could use some improvement but otherwise I’d happily come again. Don’t sleep on the in-house favourite hot sauce! Love the De La Deso artwork around the shop. Friendly staff!

Best pizza ever. I came half expecting the vegan pizza would be gross as most places are, BUT man, I was wrong. It was so creamy and good, I was enamored by the pie. Ordering it dairy free was like discovering pizza for the first time again. It's a bit expensive, but worth it. Thank you!

What a find! We were looking for a new place to grab a bite before an appointment, and this place hit the spot! Cool, hip atmosphere, excellent service, and amazing pizza! If you're gluten-free, you MUST go here! Even if you're not, try the gluten-free...it's soooo good! We will definitely go back when we're in the area. 👏🏼

This is my new favorite pizza place in all of LA! And as a vegan it’s hard to find delicious creative and friendly vegan pizza makers plus this place is omnivore as well as vegan friendly which makes it an even better choice when dining with my non-vegan friends! I’ve sampled at least three of their pizzas (vegan) and one of the vegan pasta bakes and the garlic knots and all of it was top tier delicious. Surprisingly, I think the basic vegan cheese blew my mind most which is what I had tonight. My partner loves the Portland but I don’t like getting the same pizza every time so we just got both. And if you sign up for emails and have a toast account you get rewards like crazy! I’ve only had the toast rewards for two purchases and I’ve already earned $13.50 in redeemable rewards! Bonkers. I love the vibe of this place, the pizza artists, and the food are what will have me coming back any time I want some conversation stopping pizza!

Hot tongue is badass. I honestly didn't even realize it was Vegan until my 3rd or 4th visit, easily the best vegan pizza I've ever had. Their happy hour on Wednesdays is one of the best deals in LA. All the people who work there are super cool too. I highly recommend them, especially if you're a little time crunched.

Came here just to experience the BAR PIE that’s only served on Mondays and let me tell you IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!

100/100 would recommend to come and try! They have limited quantity of the bar pies so come and enjoy before they sell out for the day!!

I'm giving this place a 4.5 star for now as the one slice of pepperoni pizza I had was pretty good. Now that I've been to New York on a pizza tour I'm a little bit spoiled... but this reminded me of Paulie Gee's in Brooklyn a bit, which is a huge plus in Cali. I'll return very soon to update. The drink prices are a bit high, but whatever cos the parking was easy, the art was dope, and the loo was clean. 🙂
