We had a nice time here. The wines aren’t my personal taste as I like big and bold reds, but we had fun.

The charcuterie was nice, and oddly enough I enjoyed their sav blanc. The Syrah was ok too. They have Cabernet on the website, but you cannot do a flight with it. We went specifically because they’re one of the few places with Cabernet in Sonoma, so it was a big let down for us. But the tasting liaison was fun and personable and we had fun.

Horse and plow is a great and low key tasting in Sebastopol. And it’s dog friendly.

Horse and Plow is a west county tasting room worth a visit. The attitude is chill, and relaxed. It is really unlike other tasting rooms in Sonoma County.

Gwen first brought Horse and Plow to my attention when she told me they were having music on the patio outside the tasting room on a Friday night. She wanted to go see what it was all about. I thought "Music and Wine... I'm in"

We found Horse and Plow to be a small intimate place with parking spaces for about 15 cars. Luckily an employee was using his creativity to put cars in places you would normally not consider parking. We went inside and sampled a few wines before choosing a bottle to buy (Rose' I believe) and take outside on the patio. Can't remember the name of the band but they were good with a southern rock genre. We met my pest inspector Bill Mashek, and enjoyed a beautiful evening outside, with food we bought from Andy's Produce Market down the street. In the tasting room, you can buy bottles of wine or a growler of wine which is more cost effective if you plan to refill the bottle.

Horse and Plow makes all organic wines and buys from strick organic producers. They have a nice choice of whites and a number of reds including Cab Franc which can be difficult to find in Sonoma County. They also make several varieties of hard cider. Horse and Plow is an unusual place and definitely worth a visit. If nothing else, I recommend coming on a Friday evening with friends and enjoying the total experience.

Wonderful outdoor area, low key and relaxed but still feels unique and special. Perfect for bringing some picnic food and sipping on wine. Also delicious cheese plate ~

The best, family-friendly winery. Beautiful outside seating area under beautiful trees, a walk through garden with chickens. The wood cabin tasting room is decently decorated with local art work. Not a snobby winery as many are. April through October, there is weekly live music from local groups. They also have the best cider in the area.

The place was nice and cozy, good atmosphere, the staff was nice to us and friendly when we had a chat about cider, etc...
Unfortunately, I can't say that we loved the drinks (cider flight). It is probably good for what it is, but it doesn't taste like cider to me. It was not unpleasant to drink but not what we expected.
We haven't tried the wine so can't say anything about it.

Wish I would have sorted the reviews from Newest versus Yelp review. Our kids are kids, they run around, they play, they're pretty sweet, but they are kids. Pretty sure one of the owners came over and asked for our kids who were 20 feet away from us to be with our children at all times. Are they supposed to sit on my lap?

If you're not kid friendly, then put it on your website and we won't come. My kids were looking in the fountain, touching the plants (I literally raise them in my enclosed garden at home, so they know to be gentle). The woman with short black hair, assuming owner or manager, said they couldn't speak to guests who were tasting, when my kids were literally not talking.

Nothing more pisses me off than a place that isn't kid friendly, not setting the rules outright.
