Hart is an efficient place to get a fresh cut tree, with a little bit of that farm feeling. I didn’t give it five stars because it’s not quite as romantic or fun for kids than other farms we have been to. We chose it this time because we like the idea of going to a farm, but not the entire process of going out into the farm and cutting it ourselves. They have quite a few trees already cut and standing up under a pole barn, so you can either shop there from what they have brought in (which was great for us, since all the trees outside of it were covered with surprise snow and ice) or you can jump on a trailer with hay bales (driven by a guy in a Santa suit) and ride out onto the property to choose your tree. As far as I can tell, you need your own saw, but they will haul it back to their main area for you. We did see quite a few people standing in a long line to get their trees shaken and baled. Somehow (maybe because we bought precut?) a nice man came and grabbed ours and skipped the line! We tipped him. We were also able to get our daughter a tiny fresh tree for her bedroom, for around $10 which was a relief since Lenderink charged us $30 for the same size tiny tree last year!

As far as ambiance goes...Hart doesn’t have a ton. No sledding hill or fire pit. There’s an indoor space to shop for a wreath, and a little shack selling (not giving) hot chocolate and bratwurst. It felt a little like a Christmas tree factory...not as cozy as other farms. Oh, and both times we have been it’s been super muddy. It must be whats normally a field or dirt lot, so even in the snow the parking lot had big muddy puddles. Don’t wear boots you care about!!

In the end, this was a fairly quick way to get a fresh farm tree. Employees were all very friendly. Not sure it was any more romantic than going to our local high school tree sale? But we were glad for the convenience.

We have been coming here with our family for several years. It’s easy to find a good tree and the tractor hay ride option is fun for the little ones. This year, the young kid drilling our tree was holding and drilling at the same time. My husband had one angle, and from my angle, I could see he was pulling the tree crooked. I shouted for him to stop and pointed in the direction he should correct. When we put it in our stand, we saw how crooked it was. I’m not even sure it will stay upright. We have had several laughs over the years over less than perfect trees, but this $75.00 tree is not funny. If you go there, be sure that one guy holds the tree and another drills while you have eyes on both angles.

The prices are INSANE. They wanted 165$ for a 6ft tree. For something only meant to last a month, that's bonkers. Needless to say, we went some place else.

I have gone to this tree farm for the past 14 years. It has become part of our tradition. Unfortunately it is not a safe place right now in Covid. Staff are wearing masks, but some lower them to talk to customers. Hardly any customers are wearing masks and no one is enforcing the policy posted on signs. There are always long lines, that move pretty quickly, but it felt very unsafe standing among unmasked people.

The Hart Farm has the most beautiful trees and they stay fresh weeks after Christmas and we got our tree the day after Thanksgiving. We are very excited to pick out our tree at the Hart Tree Farm soon!

VERY cool place! Went on 12/1/2012 and it was very busy. Plenty of parking and didn't have to wait long for the tractor/hay ride to take us to the farm to let us pick out our tree. They provide you with the saw then drop you off and tell you where the different tree are. We went in the direction of the Fraser Firs and found plenty that were worthy. Once you get back they will bale it for a dollar (highly recommended) and will even put it on a shaker to get all the loose needles off. The Fraser Fir is the only tree that they charge by the foot ($6.50). All in all it was a great experience and we will be heading back there next year.
