Handels homemade ice cream of santee is always a good experience with good ice cream with good service the staff is quick and they do not skimp on the ice cream I usually get two scoops and it is more than enough its 7.50 dollars for two scoops not to bad the parking isnt the best but I've never had an issue

Ordered a small ice cream in a cup, and 2 small ice cream in a peanut dipped cone.
The counter girl was really nice, made a recommendation because it was our first time there.
Not knowing what the serving sizes were ( thinking to change the order from smalls to medium) The counter girl said a small is three scoops.
We were like oh wow. We'll just leave it as a small.
We made our orders, told to wait at the window for our order.
They were pretty busy.
They ended us the first ice cream cone. We waited another 5 minutes for the other two orders ( One small cone and one small cup).
By the time we received the other two, the the first person 's ice cream was melting so fast that she had barely a scoop left.
While we were waiting for the other two ice creams to come, she asked for a lid to put her melting ice cream in.
Then came the other two ice creams.
Mine was served and a "lid" smaller than the one they gave her. That was really strange.
I'm thinking is that what they call a small? They just said it was three scoops.
Mine was barely a full scoop in comparison to their ice creams.
I can only guess it's because I ordered a cup but it wasn't even served in a cup. It was served in a lid..
We paid just over $20 for the three ice creams.
That was a disappointment.
The ice cream tasted nice. It was really good but the serving size for the cup I could have purchased two half gallon tillamooks for that cost.
Flavor was good. The counter person was really sweet and kind. The service was so slow and as an ice cream shop, they should not serve one person in the group and then serve other customers orders before they finished serving the first order.
It's ice cream. It melts fast, especially on a hot day.
Who wants to eat their ice cream all by themselves while their friends are waiting for the rest of the order?
I rarely rarely ever write reviews that aren't positive, but this was a big disappointment.
And a big waste of money.

Was greeted by a sexy young man. Excellent service and ice cream. He handled my nuts very well. He even put his special sauce in my cone! Top notch cream. However when i was leaving i saw someone’s grandma laying in the parking lot.

I went last night with my family around 6pm. Our first and most likely our last time. My kids obviously wanted to try some flavors , when we got to the counter , we asked to try a flavor and the employee says “we only give samples from 12-5pm” mind you, there is no sign that says that and we even saw another customer get a sample while we were waiting in line. Employee closes the window and comes back saying “we usually don’t give samples after 5 but I will let it slide this time” with an attitude. I was shocked!! Like what!!! The employee looked annoyed and once I started staring at him “like really man, you’re annoyed by giving out a sample” he got the hint and started to act friendlier. Please put a sign if it’s true that the samples are only given between 12pm-5pm.

I like the ice cream, ( I think the Pineapple Upside Down cake is off menu) love the service, but the little speak easy windows and standing outside in the heat I do not like.

Great product, great service, but….

The 3 stars is because shrinkflation has hit this shop. Prices are still the same, but at $5 average a cup, the amount they give for each scoop has greatly decreased since last year and before then. I sincerely hope this gets turned around, but as we weren’t the only ones walking around with shrunken ice creams, I can only wonder if this is the new trend.

Most ppl would rather pay an extra 50cents to cover product increase than have everything shrink to mini scoop sizes.

Always love going here to get some ice cream. Love that they have plenty of flavors to choose from and based on the few flavors we have tried, they're all pretty good. Portions are generous - small is 3.5 scoops. Their sampler is a great choice if you can't make up your mind with flavors you want to try but don't want to commit to a lot of that one flavor. My favorites so far are graham central station, chocoholic chunk and banana cream pie. Would definitely want to try their hurricanes.

This is the best, most delicious, real creamy ice cream! They have so many flavors. I love butter pecan, peppermint stick and peppermint bark (both seasonal), mud pie, mint chocolate chip and more. It’s hard to go anywhere else but Handel’s.
