I love this place! It isn’t just a plant shopping destination, it’s a relaxing and informative break in your day. All they need now is a cafe or barista station to complete this reprieve from the rat race. There’s a wide range of seeds, as well as indoor and outdoor plants, fertilizers and ornamental pots, plus all kinds of products that other garden centers don’t carry, such as pond accessories, bags of bat guano or containers of helpful lady bugs or earthworms. You can even have them identify what’s bothering your plant at home. Young children will enjoy the tiny shopping carts they can push around. Holiday and seasonal decorations are beautiful. Remember to pick up your Edible San Diego magazine on your way out. 🙂

What an amazing place! I’ll definitely be coming back. Came to get an indoor plant for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but he said he was from Texas. He was a genius with the plants! Gave me advice on nurturing at home and answered all my questions. Ask him nurturing advice about any plant in their green room and he knew everything! He showed me an Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor locked up in a cage. Said they are rare and hard to come by and I knew I had to have it! Such a unique plant. 5 stars to the staff, facility and selection of plants!

Sadly, no one has actual Green Thumbs here. Bummer. It is a nursery with an amazing, wide variety of garden plants indoors and outdoors. Incredible choice of pots in many varieties, all the gardening supplies you could need, and more! The best part is a friendly staff that is willing to answer your questions and assist you! It's my favorite nursery in SAN DIEGO COUNTY! Go, Green Thumb!!!
They do have a dinosaur problem.

I love this place!

The selection and quality of the plants and garden essentials can’t be beat. The prices are fairly competitive too. There is a special section for native California plants. They have rare specimens plants there. The mini plants for $2.99 are super nice.

Everything is well labeled with price and care, instructions. The people that work there are knowledgable, friendly and helpful. They are well staffed, and I rarely had to wait for service.

Tip: Get the six packs of vegetables and flowers for around $4.99.

Green thumb nursery is worth the drive. I recommend looking at traffic patterns nearby and possibly going around it. Plan to go on a weekend or time, earlier in the day, when there’s no traffic.

Absolutely loved this nursery. The selection is incredible. From California native plants, fruit trees, indoor, outdoor etc.. their pot selection is also amazing. The only downside is the price.. their pricing is in the *much* higher side.
I bought an indoor plant for $8.99 at elplantio and it was $16.99 at green thumb nursery DOUBLE!! But if you are looking for a particular thing and you don't mind paying a premium this place is great. Some of their items are reasonably priced .. really depends.
Could easily spend 1 or 2 hours just exploring

This nursery is the best. It has a huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants, trees, vegetables, herbs, fertilizers, amazing pot selection, everything you need for attracting birds to your yard, native plants, gardens gifts and on and on. Helpful staff and great selection of everything you need.

The selection of pottery and planters are second to none! I've been looking for a shallow bowl planter for my succulents and finally found one here!

While they have a small selection of house and indoor plants they did have a few of the rarer plants available.

My favorite was their succulent section. Lots to choose from. Aloes were plentiful and healthy.

This is hands down the coolest nursery I've ever been to. The wide variety of items offered is always changing making each visit unique and exciting. Its way to spend a couple hours here just wandering around and exploring. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
