This is a quaint market that’s been around for about 50 years. The finest, old fashioned full service Butcher Shop in Ventura County, with quality meat grades, marinated beef, chicken, sausages and pork.They use the best ingredients and have weekly specials! The Tri-Tip Sandwich is a customer favorite. The one I had wasn’t as juicy as I would have liked. 8/10

I did have a couple employees ask if I needed help. Customer service for BBQ sandwiches was a little slow, even though it wasn’t super busy in the store.

This meat market has the most pleasant staff and highest quality selections. Recently returned to Simi Valley visiting family and decided to have an impromptu BBQ. Walked into this place and greet with friendly staff and everyone wanting to help. It truly was an experience like I had been coming to for years without skipping a beat. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality, friendly, and educational (if needed) experience around prepping for a BBQ or meal revolving around meat period. Thank you Green Acres staff.

I got the Tri Tip........it was dry, bland, chewy and room temperature. This place is an embarrassment to BBQ places. They let me try the brisket and omg....it was the worst I've ever eaten in my life. I won't even give them an "A" for effort. I can microwave better meat.

One of the best BBQ spots in Simi Valley! Love this spot! I usually end up going with the Tri Tip Sandwich (the roll is garlic bread) combo that comes with 2 sides and a fountain drink. I got the baked beans and mac & cheese. The meal was absolutely delicious! They have several BBQ sauces here and my favorite is the Whiskey Habanero BBQ. Check this spot out cause it rocks!

Green Acres - A Simi Valley BBQ Gem

I've been taking my son to Green Acres in Simi Valley since he was a kid, and we absolutely love it! This is hands-down one of the best BBQ spots in the area.

I usually go for the Tri-Tip Sandwich, which is served on a roll that's actually garlic bread—pure genius! The combo meal comes with two sides and a fountain drink. This time, I chose the baked beans and mac and cheese, and both were spot-on. The flavors are rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious.

One thing that stands out here is their selection of BBQ sauces. My personal favorite is the Whiskey Habanero BBQ sauce—just the right mix of heat and flavor to elevate the meal.

If you're in Simi Valley and craving BBQ, you have to check this spot out. Green Acres rocks!

I’m a huge fan of BBQ and decided to try Green Acres for lunch . First impressions was good . I could smell the nice oak smoke and see the food on the grill. I ordered the tri tip sandwich . I was not completely satisfied. The portion of meat was sad for the price and I definitely didn’t like how shredded the meat because it took away the flavor and juiciness i was expecting nice thick cut tri tip pieces. I honestly don’t know how this establishment has 5 stars. Ive had BBQ in about 17 states and this falls below the top 10. Overall It just doesn’t taste like bbq to me.

If you like BBQ, you will love this place. It's so good that we plan our bicycle rides around this joint. It's clean and has outside seating, and although we've never been inside, I do believe you can get hard-to-find specialty meats inside. Staff is also efficient and friendly.

We enjoy the fresh air outside, and dig the Trip-tip and Brisket sandwiches especially.

Love this place. The tri top sandwiches are so good. The market is awesome with a huge selection of meats and great fresh produce. They have a great selection of frozen game meats also. The staff is awesome and always friendly and helpful.
