I brought an adult doe in for processing and only received just under 20lbs of venison back in which they also added beef suet to my ground. I would not recommend them for deer processing at all as either the additional 10 lbs of meat I should have received went elsewhere or their processing person has know clue. A little background here I am not new to harvesting deer as I have been hunting for 30 years now. This was a clean shot so there would not have been lost venison. Disappointing for sure!!!!!! Lesson learned , question the experience of the person processing if you are trying a new place.

Dropped off two deer for processing filled out cut sheet, roasts, burger and steaks basic standard cut however no roasts admittedly two smaller deer but not what we ordered guy said hed tell the guys to do better in the future kinda weak in my opinion

Had two good size bucks processed in November 2023. First the price advertised was less than the price charged. Second, they did not hang the deer long enough, the meat is tuff. Third and most egregious, I had one of the bucks capped for a shoulder mount. when I picked up the mount from the taxidermist he said the cape was chopped up on one side by the shoulder and he tried to fix it but you could see it on the mount. I called GL about this, the woman in charge of the processing wanted the taxidermist name and called him, then called me back and said it was his fault. When I confronted the taxidermist about this he said she told him it was my fault. Its' a he said she said, but I have used this taxidermist before and so have friends and relatives without a problem. So I will never use this place again, you probab.ly shouldn't either.

Great place, worth a trip. I got the Kowalski hot beef sticks, Long John's hot jerky bites and Big O's smoked salmon. All delicious.

Place kinda sucks anymore. If you want real quality meat go to the alpine butcher. They’re out of Massachusetts but best believe is the best quality beef I have ever purchased. They deliver to your door step within two days.

Today is December 22nd I took a deer in there opening day and I still haven't got it back I went in there today and told them they can keep it I will not recommend them to nobody I thought I give him another chance I was there about 10 years ago and there's still the same terrible service

I took a field-dress doe to have them process it. I was told over the phone it would be $140. When I picked it up they charged me $145. Also, the doe field dressed at 100 pounds. I got about 28 pounds of meat back. After researching numerous reputable websites, you can expect to recieve about 35% - 40% of the field dress weight back as edible meat. Here's the math: 100 lbs x .35 = 35 lbs; 100 lbs x .40 = 40 lbs. I should have received 35 - 40 pounds of meat from my processed deer. I only received ~28 pounds. The doe was shoot through the ribs so no other meat was damaged. WHERE'S THE REST OF MY MEAT!? I'll stick with Jerome Country Market. Though further from home, they are excellent.

Brought a doe there this year and this place is such a scam. When I went to pick up my meat the butcher walks out with a tiny box which I opened up and it had literally 10 pounds of ground, 3 lbs of snack sticks, and back straps.

Total of 13lbs of meat plus back straps.

I told them what is this? Where is the rest of my deer? They tried to play it off, like that was it and I had to argue with them that this is ridiculous, I brought in a healthy doe and I should have gotten 30-35 lbs of ground plus the specialty cuts.

Plus, once I left I realized they didn’t give me my tenderloins too which is the best cut of the deer.

The sales clerk at the front desk ended up telling the butcher to go get me 10 more lbs of ground, I still wasn’t okay with that so he sends him back for 5 more lbs.

So then I’m wondering, who’s deer did they give me?

This place is clearly unorganized and they don’t care about making sure you get your own deer back.

I paid $160 for 25 lbs of ground venison, some snack sticks, and backstraps.

They are running a very shady operation, stealing portions of everyone’s deer and money.

Very unhappy with them.
