Wish this place existed everywhere. Food co-op with decently priced groceries, but where this place shines is the prepared foods. Freshly made burritos, soups, salads, sandwiches, both hot and cold, well priced, available with a fair bit of selection. We got the Ethiopian tofu and the breakfast burritos, which were fantastic snacks on our drive home south. Lots of vegan, vegetarian, and non-veg items.

This is an awesome little market in downtown Petoskey. They carry a lot of allergen friendly items and health conscious items in general. Their grab and go bar is delicious as well! A great stop to get more specialty groceries.

One of my favorite grocery store! My family has been shopping there for years and it is always the best experience! Fresh products, excellent choices. Tasty, natural and healthy food! Some products they sell are especially valuable and can't be found in other nearby markets.
Great job Grain Train, keep it up!

such an awesome find! 🤩 i came down here from the Soo after a recommendation from a coworker. we have a very small natural foods market here that doesn't really encompass a whole lot.
Grain Train blew me away with their ready-to-go food selection (a big bowl of grass-fed beef chili for about 6 bucks) & tasty side salads. they have wonderful options for lunch or dinner that are cheaper than a lot of restaurants nowadays.
today, a lot of the produce was on sale, so all the fresh veggies & fruit were a bargain.
Grain Train has a selection of quality mainstream brands (usually not organic, but still good) alongside the organic options, & in some cases the organic options were cheaper.

I really should rate a 4 for the parking lot. I drive a truck and it was very hard to maneuver in those tiny spots with meters! Some guy even gave me trouble pulling out of the driveway while he pulled in with a trailer. It was too small for that. The store itself was an average co-op. Staff could have been a bit more friendly. The store had moderately high prices compared to recent previous co-op visits at other stores. Vegan and gluten free and had a semi-tough time finding good snacks. Still thankful they were there.
