I bought a few yards of their organic compost over the winter to add to my raised beds. I have no idea what was wrong with this stuff but this is the worst garden I've ever had. All my plants look stunted--lettuce, tomatoes, squash, everything. The beds were I didn't add it were fine. No idea what is wrong with it but it did have bits of plastic throughout. It seems fine as mulch around my fruit trees. I've never had a problem from other places.

Great place to take your yard waste, with super affordable pricing. I went to the dump on santa rosa Avenue, and they wanted $85. At grab and grow it cost $20. It's nice that the yard wate is recycled into mulch and other products.

Crazy expensive to dump tree brush. They quote you a price based upon an estimate of what they see. They don't go by weight so if it is chipped, you get a way better price than if it is loosely packed brush. Doesn't seem fair, but not much of a choice.

Great organic compost and super service and policies. They will allow to bag or bucket your own and still offer the bulk pricing. I used 10 18 gallon Rubbermaid bins to hold a half a yard.

I drop off tree debris often between a few tree companies I work for. I sent my wife down to unload our dump truck last Saturday. I explained the Covid policy and made sure she had plenty of time to arrive. She arrived at the yard at 2:56. Two trucks in front of her waiting to past through and dump. A woman came out of the office without a mask and slammed down a pink cone. My wife is extremely careful and fighting a brain tumor. She was a little concerned about going in the office and what to do. After sitting in the truck patiently waiting she finally walked in and asked about dumping. The woman said to bad you are late. She explained I was clearly in the yard prior to 3:00. She rambled on and said nope read our rules etc. After slamming down the cone she could have kindly walked 10 feet and told my wife she wasn’t going to accept us or the person behind us. Completely rude and unprofessional as someone driving a completely full dump truck advertised with a tree company is limited with time to try to make it to another dump before 4:00. We will never support grab and grow. I was going to fill the dump truck with high end soil. We have used the company for years for our vineyard and gardening needs. The women in the office doesn’t belong dealing with the public, lacks manners and basic skills. We spend thousands of dollars a year and will never return to dump product or order material.

Grab n Grow soil made a generous donation to our school garden program. It's great local businesses, like Grab n Grow, helping their community that makes Sonoma County a great place. Dunham Elementary Garden program thanks you!!

Plus, I love the decreased plastic waste of not buying soil by the bag at the big chain supplier. Support local, don't buy bagged. They can load your truck or trailer or set aside a pile for you to load your own reusable buckets at your own pace for transport in your car.

Last, I like that they are repurposing local green waste and upgrading and turning it around to a variety of great landscape and gardening products. If you have green waste rather than taking it to the dump take it to Grab n Grow. Not only will your waste get second life, but Grab n Grow is cheaper than the dump!!

Great customer service. Quick, short lines. The kids like to ride along to see the big tractors;)

Thanks

Worst compost I’ve bought in a long time. Zero humus structure, pretty much just expensive mulch. Will never be getting compost from here again. I’ll be sticking with cold creek who actually knows how to make compost
