Well, don't go looking for a roadside sign or address number you can find. There is no visible sign from the highway that says "Golden State Hay". google maps directs to old location- had to call to get directions from old location- then re-cross Hwy 126 twice- gee, thanks. Got there and tried to find med solutions- thought since place was empty maybe someone would ask if I needed help finding anything.... asked for help- pleasant enough, but not what I needed. Saw some cute clothing, with hangtags that looked like it was made in U.S.A. but inseam tag shows made in China. what a waste of time, fuel, and ridiculous to have to cross 126 twice- good luck getting out of driveway back onto 126. What kind of business doesn't have a sign with their advertised name? would NEVER have guessed the name was now "barn" something.... even a visible sign with numbers would have helped- must have used up all their numbers while jacking up prices.

I got a couple of pullets right before Thanksgiving. They are good hens and the buff orpington has been giving me the best eggs. The French copper Maran is just about to start laying. I also picked up dog food for my German Sheppard and treats for my hens here. I think it is family owned, customer service and prices were great!

I had high hopes for this place based off reviews and I attempted to contact them, but I didn't get a response so had to show up.
Before you try to go here, the hay is only for bigger livestock and not rabbits or guinea pigs. The cutting tends to be 1st, and ideally you want to be looking for 2nd.
They also won't say their supplier for whatever reason, which isn't great if you're trying to avoid a company you've had issues with due to quality control.
Wish they had been upfront before I drove out there with them knowing that's why I wanted a new hay supplier.

This place is INCREDIBLE the owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. He was honest, gave me advice and set me up. I feel like he really cares about his customers. I will definitely be back! The place was very clean and organized. It's a family owned small business great place. I picked up a hen and supplies I'm new to the organic chicken game but am ready to roll thanks to Golden State Hay!

This is where I get my hay and I am always taken really good care of when I come. Customer service is great and they get me in and out fast. I have been purchasing hay from them for 2 years and it is always good quality and I have never had to return a bale once. That says a lot for a feed store because sometimes mold and other things in the hay is hard to avoid during certain times of the year. This means they have a good relationship with the growers they purchase from. Very important. They have many other animal products besides just feed and can give you a lot of information on how to take care of your animals. I love that they are a small family business. Supporting the people that make our community great is so important!

I visited this place for the first time to get a few bales of hay. The hay I purchased was very good quality. They have a nice selection of live stock too. I went inside to pay for my hay and bought a few more things. The store is well stocked with a large selection of things to choose from. Products for horses, dogs,chickens, you name it. This is a nice place, clean and the people are very nice and helpful.
