Gioia is by far the best Italian Cheese Factory in Southern California. Their mozzarella and cheeses are as close as you can get to the original products in Italy. Their ricotta cheese is THE BEST. Nobody has it this good. I live 65 miles away from them , but this is the only place I go to buy what I need. I highly recommend it

The staff at Gioia Cheese are very friendly & accomidating. More importantly, the cheeses here are made with whole milk, making the mozzarella taste so much better than many of the competitors out there who use powders instead. The flavor of the burrata is rich & creamy. The mozzarella is very fresh & flavorful. Overall, Gioia Cheese is a great place to get the most authentic flavors of Italian mozzarella to your table.

If you're a fan of gourmet cheeses, and live nearby El Monte, Gioia Cheese let's the public buy from them. Most of their customers are restaurants and gourmet markets. I first heard of Gioia when I found their burrata at Erewhon. I paid 13 bucks for a tub of burrata; at Gioia you pay 6 bucks. If you like ricotta cheese, they sell a large tub where you pay less than 10 bucks. Now I can enjoy gourmet cheese without overspending at grocery stores. BTW Gioia only accepts cash & checks

Wonderful place to visit, purchase their fantastic products at a significant discount from some of those west side markets that carry them. Oh, and to 'john c.' perhaps you don't realize that Burrata is made from fresh cream, which has a very short shelf life. In the future you should know what you're buying, and try to eat it the day you buy it. It won't get any better the longer you keep it. Also, and I don't want to call you an idiot, but why would you eat anything that you'd let spoil?
