Update from 10-10-24
Priscilla is an awesome cashier, very friendly and personable, and a true asset to the Fry's family! The chuck roasts on sale looked great, so I chose 2. Brussel sprouts and asparagus were a great deal at $1.49/lb, so I couldn't pass those up either.
Update from 5-31-24
The store was clean, and the waiting minimal, so im adding the deducted star back on! Also, Driscoll Raspberries 6 oz at $1.50 is a great deal!
Update 3-2-23
Unfortunately, I have to subtract a star since there were only 2 cashiers available other than the self checkout lanes. Each cashier had several people in line for a while before a third opened her register for customers. I prefer to support live cashiers vs. a machine, which is why I almost always go through a cashier line. The cashier we had and the sacker were both very friendly and definitely assets to the Fry's family.

Original review:
I bought a nice rib roast just before Christmas, and it was great, very tender. The butcher even went and found a larger roast for me when I asked, since there was only a small one available at the time.

I picked up two pairs of shoes to purchase, and when I got to the register, they were being rung up at full price. I informed the cashier that the shoes were on sale. A manager was called over, and when I explained the situation, he responded with, "No, maybe $3 off, but I won't give you the sale price." After I completed my other purchases, I went back to double-check and that's when I took the photo. The manager's response was completely uncalled for. I understand that the store may have been busy, but there are better ways to handle a customer concern than just saying No.

Frys is a good place to shop . Fresh tilapia fish is something I like adding to my dog's kibble along with some peas or green beans. They have a good selection of fresh fruits and veggies.

UPDATE(Nov. 2024) I'm adding a star today because I had a great talk with a fellow shopper and the employees were very kind at check out. A good day should always be treasured beyond measure and greatly appreciated. So far, this is the BEST Frys location in Tucson.

Very busy location and plenty of selection. Half the time people shopping here are great and then sometimes not. I have had encounters with other shoppers acting snobby. Huffing and puffing that you cant move your cart out of their way fast enough or openly offended by the appearance of others.

If they live in Tucson they have nothing to be snobby about.

I do pray for the employees at this location. People are going nuts over the most petty of issues. Must be very difficult dealing with unkind people like that every day.

I like Fry's as grocery stores go they have great prices. The staff are friendly, the produce is usually fresh and there's a Starbucks in this one, and the same ladies have been baristas there for a few years so they know me and my order which is nice. I will say however their berries for the last 4 months or so have not been very good. I get a pack of strawberries that look pretty good in store but within 2 days they are all mush and covered in mold. Not necessarily their fault so much as the suppliers and probably global warming but just a heads up.

Great store...except the locks on the public restrooms. I am in and out of this store every day and it's frustrating to have to find and inconvenience someone just to let you use the restrooms. This must be addressed as there are multiple customers waiting each time while no one comes to give the code. And the ones you do finally find to open the door seem extremely annoyed with having to be guardian of the public restrooms doors. This is an issue and needs attention.

This store has always been our home base for shopping . We have been shopping here for 20 years. Most of the staff has been here this whole time and watched our family grow. They have treated us like a neighborhood store should do . But sadly they have a manager named Denise . We went a few weeks ago and needed assistance. When we went to her and asked if she was a manager , she ignored us . When she was finally done with her task , she turned to us and rolled her eyes. She said what do you want ? When we explained what our concern was . She said oh well you can go somewhere else . A week later when we went in the lottery machine would not give out the ticket . We told her, she rolled her eyes and walked away. The staff who were kind went and got her to come assist us . She sighed and rolled her eyes . She got the ticket out and handed over her shoulder to us and sighed again . She slammed the door in an aggressive manager and behaved like she could both be bothered . Its so sad because after 20 years i think we may have to say goodbye to the great staff and shop elsewhere She displays very clearly that she has no patience and doesn’t want to be bothered .

What happened to customer service? It is the only thing that Fry's used to have that was above and beyond the competition, the groceries they sell are not any cheaper, better or different than any other grocery store, any place can sell you frozen pizza or fresh chicken, etc... but who wants to buy anything where you as a customer are not even appreciated, if noticed at all, the self check out is absolutely the worst thing they could have put in as a customer service based business, they are impersonable, inaccurate and an inconvenience for shoppers, the few cashier's they do have on occasion are not friendly, overworked with long lines and really don't care that you chose to spend money in their store, the courtesy clerks throw items into bags haphazardly and damage what your purchasing no regard to cross contamination or crushing items, bleach and apples don't go in same bag as my bread and that's what I got, smashed bread and chemicals with my produce, if there is no kind of training anymore why even have them bag anything, not as if they are busy collecting carts in the parking lot for store use, I have had to go hunt my own down more times than I can count. Keep on putting profit ahead of customers and it won't be long until you have no customers at all.
