CAUTION! Absolute worst place to deliver to. Truck have to wait on the street till their dock is open, then back in off the street. Arrived at 08:30 foot a 09:00 appointment. It’s now 11:00 and still not in the door. They could care less about a truckers time or if they have time on their ELD.
Update: now noon and still waiting. Check inside and only one person unloading is the excuse. No, I don’t want anything to eat. No, I don’t want to shower. No, I don’t want to sleep since I’m now over my 14 hrs. I’ll make my next delivery on time skipping all these essential things that you get to go home to every day. And your forklift driver wants to get an attitude because he’s by himself? Cry me a river! Places like this are why they need to be regulated by the transportation industry with fines for wasting truckers time when they take more than two hrs to unload. $500 fine for every hour past the 2 hr standard.
Update:
Frog Hollar Owner,
Thanks for the quick reply. It will be much better I’m sure once the OTR area is built. Just want to clarify that I showed the driver in the door your response to having pallets tipped and/or leaning. He said his pallets were perfectly fine when he arrived. May want to speak with the one fork lift driver that is doing everyone’s job according to him. If he’s telling you one thing and it’s not the case, that makes you look bad with your response to my more than fair review. Truckers are limited to the amount of hours we can work in a week and to show up for a 9am appointment early and not get into a dock until 12:30 is inconsiderate to us to say the least. We work hard to be on time and now we have to figure out how to make our next delivery that was on the truck on time.
