Wouldn’t have thought of going to a hotel restaurant if not staying at the hotel, but this was a pleasant surprise as the view of the river, the Blue Water Bridge and the boats floating by was beautiful. The server, Laura, was excellent. The appetizers were served quickly, but the kitchen took a very long time with our entrees. While the calamari and meatballs appetizers were good; the crispy chicken - not so much. The burgers and fries were tasty, the fish and chips portion was generous. The crispy chicken wrap was just okay. The fries and homemade chips were very good. The California sandwich sounded promising, but was served cold which I found strange. A grilled bun but ice cold? A grilled chicken breast but ice cold? Our server was awesome and dealt with my dismay but this sandwich was a disappointment. The food was quite pricey. View spectacular. Sounds like reservations are suggested as the hostess greeted us with surprise that we hadn’t reserved on a Sunday evening. There’s some weekday specials too.

We brought our friend from Texas to Port Huron to see the bridge and the freighters. Of course, we needed some lunch. This is a fantastic place to eat while watching the activity on the river. Food was good but it took quite a while to bring it out. Don't forget to visit the gift shop just down the hall. It's one of the biggest and best stores for souvenirs I have ever been in.

We had a great dinner inside the restaurant. The server was very friendly and the food was full of flavor. We shared the fish tacos and shrimp linguine. Both were the perfect amount of food and were not greasy or heavy. Very well done! Also we were seated in a spot that had a great view of the water and bridge! I would definitely recommend checking out this spot!

Stopped in for lunch and had to wait a few minutes to be seated, We had seats by the window which was nice as we could look at the river, I ordered the Michigan Salad which was okay, but not anything to write home about or memorable. I thought the menu was limited if you are a vegetarian. The views are nice, but you might get better food and a larger variety of food somewhere else.

I forgot the server’s name (I think it was Sadie, please correct me if I’m wrong), but she took care of us on every level. We was coming in from seeing a play in Stratford, ONT, and this was the next available restaurant we could find, and needless to say, everything worked out in our favour! The food was on point, presentation, texture, temperature, 𝙖𝙡𝙡 of it! My only complaint was the lack of non-alcoholic beers to drink, other than that, we was satisfied. Thank you!

UPDATE: 9-17-2024
Came back again for another great meal. Lunch was very good. Burgers were filling and the fries were crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere is, as always, fantastic. Sat inside and had our table by the window, once again. Only one freighter passed by, but it was great to see boat traffic cruising along the St Clair River.
Our server wasn't very friendly, but he got the job done. All and all, our visit today was good.

July 2023: I was so impressed with this restaurant, that I came back in the Spring 2023 and again, just couple of days ago. This is such a wonderful restaurant in Port Huron and it keeps me traveling over 80 miles (round trip) each time to visit.
Another stellar lunch, today, for the 3 of us. Highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the BBQ Beef Brisket and the Fish and Chips. The server Robert was excellent, too.
The views are over the top, once again. Of course, more pics of the wonderful food and indoor/outdoor views of this establishment. The atmosphere, both inside and out is fantastic. Can't wait to visit again.
Keep up the great work!!

Great place to visit when exploring the riverfront of Port Huron. Good food... plenty of fish choices, friendly staff, very clean, nice atmosphere inside, however prices were a bit on the top end. The views of the St Clair River are incredible. During the warm months, there is seating outside to take in the river views, too. Definitely recommend Freighters when visiting Port Huron.

This place took us by surprise. We almost didn’t go because it’s located in a hotel but we wanted somewhere to eat that had a few of the water and Canada. This is our first time in Michigan and wanted to take it all in. The food and the view were fantastic. The portions were much much much larger than expected. The staff was also extremely friendly shoutout to our amazing waitress Marie, she answered all my crazy kids question about the lake and the boarder lol. Best fish and chips we have had in a long time.

This place is beautiful - inside and out. I had no idea it existed before now. Views of the river, ships going by, we even saw a wedding next to the patio. Food was also excellent. Glad I swapped the chips out for fries.
