I’ve visited a lot of taprooms in the US, Canada even Mexico and China. Founders Grand Rapids is 2nd to none. Great beers, food was excellent, outdoor seating with fire pits, live music… they have it all. This is a go to in Grand Rapids.

Unfortunately, I remember when this was the place to be! My GF wanted to go there! So we did. We ordered 3 appetizers and two drinks. The server was absolutely excellent, and the drinks were cold, fresh, and outstanding! The problem came in when we ordered food. We ordered chicken wings, meatballs, and beer cheese dip! The meatballs and cheese dip went great and tasted great! The issue I had was the chicken wings. We had ate 3 of them and after the 3rd one (and something long stuck in her teeth) We looked at the wings... they had the feathers still in them. It wasn't like it was 1 or 2 there. It was ALOT ON 1 WING. then there were 2 or 3 in other wings... I said we are pretty full from the other food and 3 wings, and I was told the order is already being remade. And I didn't even have the option not to get the food again. (We had no way to get it home on the scooters). So we had to leave it outside the place and go home. Refunds didn't seem to be an option. We had no way to bring them home. Nor did it seem like they cared.

Founders is one of the best breweries in the state of Michigan and I think they have perfect the art of brewing. It is amazing to see how much work and research and development go into brewing high-quality beer.
The taproom is pretty chill place to drink and have some good food.
Definitely come check this place out and support your local breweries ❤️🙏

First visit. Came recommended. 5pm on a Saturday we put ourselves on the waitlist online. Took 40 minutes for 5 of us. Obviously a very popular spot! Waiter informed us 5 items were sold out. This is not a big.menu. Popular items. Wait, you are a very popular spot, its 5pm on a Saturday, first weekend of a BIG event at John Ball Zoo just a mile away, and management did not plan on a busy weekend? 5 VERY POPULAR food items sold out and it's just 5PM and yall got Sunday too? Very disappointing. Our waiter was great, in fact staff super friendly, but he and runners for his tables were overwhelmed. Order wasn't complete, took some time to get that sorted out. Actually took 15 minutes and 3 runs to the back to get our order complete for a party of 5.
OK, that's my complaint but there were good times to be had! Great beer selection and our waiter knew the brews. Food was ok/good. And again, we had great staff that did their very best to make this a fun visit. As Grand Rapids has MANY great spots to eat, we won't come back for awhile.

Second time visiting, and it's a nice spot for lunch. Tried their chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, just not for me. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers and salads. I recommend trying out their beers by ordering a flight. We went around 3 and didn't have to wait. Service is friendly, really no complaints

The beer was good, but the food was fairly average. Although the place is spacious with many open tables, we were seated outside despite the cool weather, and the heaters were not functioning. Our server was preoccupied with sweeping and not very attentive, so it took a while to get another drink.

A Grand Rapids institution, Founders never disappoints. Fantastic draft and beer list always has a selection of beers that you can only get at the brewery. They also have a few cocktails on draft! The food menu isn't extensive, but they execute everything very well. Great spot for a full on meal or just for drinks!

Cool place! It's a large venue with indoor and outdoor space, so I imagine it's a great spot for big groups.

I got a chicken sandwich. Yum.
Staff was nice and our waiter was great. And there's a fun store attached!
