It was interesting. Crowded definitely. I'd never been to a festival like that. There are some things they could have done better. Maps for one are handy so you know what is where and you aren't just wandering around like you are lost. I did have first ever crepe.

Great place for the kids to play. Has a great playground built by locals. Saw some amazing tame squirrels there just recently. Fun fun.

Awesome music and vendors. So many interesting and individually amazing displays of pottery, home crafts, and food items. I scored a forest fair beanie. I would have liked a hoodie, but found them too expensive at 53 dollars. Salty dawg in homer is an equal hoodie for much less, and more prestige worldwide.

Loved the parade, the furries, the food (spinach bread, blueberry rhubarb crisp, mac n cheese reindeer dog and a hand dipped ice cream), the exercise and of course perfect weather. A gathering where everybody gets together and has a great time. ❤️

Love this small town park. Lots for the kids to play on even when the equipment is wet. Not your usual prefab play areas. Kids can hide, climb, swing, balance, and more. Even small toys for kids to share. LOVED IT!

We reached this campground on the first day of the yearly Forest Fair. It was super crowded and there was a mess to find your own campsite and a place to park your car. The vendors parked on campers parking lots and that's why we and some others had to park outside the "restricted" area. In the evening when some vendors left, we could park the cars properly. The campgrounds haven't any sign.That means you place your tent wherever you want in the forest. The campground organisation didn't seem very structured at all.
There have been no showers or water toilet in the campground. Due to the fair there were a lot of dixi toilets, which have been cleaned very offen.

Besides that, the Forest Fair was amazing! We had a really good time there. Many vendors all over Alaska present there (often) handmade products and you can listen to many bands in different stages during the whole day. And of course: the food was delicious!
