If you’re even a little into cars or just curious about how stuff gets made, the Ford Dearborn experience is awesome. The factory tour was probably my favorite part—you actually get to see F-150s being built right in front of you. It’s great to watch all the robots and workers moving in sync. Kinda makes you appreciate how much goes into every truck.

The whole tour setup is super smooth and easy to follow, with cool videos and exhibits that give you a bit of history without feeling too “museum-y.” You could honestly spend a whole day there and still want to come back.

All in all, it was such a fun and interesting day. It’s totally worth checking out!

Very cool 😎.... you get to self pace yourself on a balcony walk around a good portion of the assembly line. So incredible on all the process engineering that goes into making this place run so efficiently.

Thank you Mustang division for building an amazing car. I had the luxury of growing up with a motor head dad. We had 64 1/2 mustang convertible, 58’ corvette, 64 impala, 79’ el Camino, 87 el Camino, all kinds of fun toys. Pa had 32’ ford truck slammed lol absolutely loved talking cars. Now that I’ve got a 24’ in honor of his car enthusiasts. Love you Speedy, RIP

Just go to butler yard. They are the original check point. Then they will tell you to go to another check point (I’m in a sprinter van) .. told me to go to 6000 Wyoming Ave and then to Gate 3. Gate 3 is only open from 6am-4pm. That area smells horrible. I have 1 pallet and they still took forever to unload me.

Don't go to the plant directly you will be redirected to the butler yard. Go to the butler yard and check in at the little shack. Hopefully within 4 hours they can direct you to a gate/dock/building. Then you can proceed to the facility. After that, good luck and godspeed. You will need all the blessings you can get dealing with this plant and it's employees.

The paint department is easy to deal with, or Joe at ddmp is cool. Most docks are good. Now, most photos are old, and I did a lot of projects here. Joe probably retired don't go in there with shorts and flip flops lol 😆
