Folgarelli's Market & Deli – A Hidden Gem!

I just had the best turkey sandwich of my entire life at Folgarelli’s. I’m not exaggerating — this sandwich was grilled to crispy perfection on the outside and unbelievably juicy and flavorful on the inside. Every bite was warm, melty, and full of rich, savory goodness. I honestly can’t even describe how good it was — it’s something you just have to experience for yourself.

If you're anywhere near the area, don’t miss this spot. Folgarelli’s isn’t just a deli — it’s a flavor explosion waiting to happen.

What Toys r Us was to me as a kid, Folgarelli's is to me as an adult. Go to get one of their amazing sandwiches (I recommend The Godfather, but they're all great) stay to do some gourmet shopping. The deli counter offers lost of goodies aside from the sandwiches, the cheese selection is one of the best in the city. I love talking to the lady that works the cheese section, she's knowledgeable and so friendly. Walk in back to find the perfect bottle of wine. Again the staff back there is ready to help you find your new favorite. And then take your time slowly, carefully checking out all the great items they stock that you will not find anywhere else in the city.

Absolute must stop spot in Traverse City. Legit Deli with everything your looking for. Very cool vibes in there with a lot of fresh product to choose from. House made product and a lot of local stuff. Very nice wine cellar in the back. The sandwiches are huge and at a great price, would highly recommend the Godfather. Will be back everytime I come to Traverse City for sure.

The best sandwich ever!!!! Fresh product, amazing bread and cooked to perfection! Not many places live up to the hype, this one does!!!

On top of the AMAZING sandwich, we got a really yummy dip and PERFECT bread and a bottle of wine for home.

The wine selection is superb, found multiple bottles that I’ve only ever seen at the actual wineries in Napa.

Go, don’t question it, wait if there’s a wait? JUST GO!!!!

Folgarelli’s has the best deli sandwiches in town. It’s owned by the same family who originally opened it so there’s quite a bit of history there. Not only can you get customized deli sandwiches but they also offer catering options, market items, and wine! Check online and see when they do wine tasting, because that’s quite an experience!

For starters, upon entering this establishment, the aroma is absolutely enchanting. I have never entered a place that smelled so good and so fresh.

Secondly, the older gentleman, who I'll assume is either the owner (or a manager), was very sweet. He is clearly a people person and appeared to know everyone in the community. Everytime someone walked through the door, he would greet them with a smile and by name, and having a place such as this in a community like this brings people together- it was really nice to see.

He gave my sisters and I a little backstory on this place, seeing as we are from Detroit and had never been here before, it was only fitting.

Lastly, but certainly not least, the food is amazing. I had the God Father sandwich, and I have NEVER had a sandwich so good in my life. My sisters agreed with me. I tried the sandwiches my sisters ordered, and it was hard to tell which I liked best.

Simply put: this is an incredible place to get incredible sandwiches from. Thank you so much for having us, Folgarelli's; I will definitely return the next time I visit Traverse City!
