The food was ok. But there was a homeless man walking around asking for money from customers. None of the staff said or did anything. I would not come back. It seemed like kids ran the store.

Walking in I noticed how immaculately clean this place was. The girls making the sandwiches looked less than thrilled to be there but the cashier (Chris I think, he had long red hair) was an absolute delight and happily took my order. The sub was WONDERFUL. They use quality ingredients and it's a million times better than Subway. I usually don't come here because it is a bit pricey (large combo was $20) but I had the craving and just had to come by. One of the best subs I've ever had.

Went Firehouse Trussville last weekend a was very disappointed in the service and how long it took to get our food. I paid was prompted for tip. Why the floor was dirty and none on the tables were clean. The coke machine had over spray all over. Why should I give a tip if I have to clean the tables and get my food from counter. I thought with better health rating it would different. This store must be under new management!!!!!

I dislike pickles, hate the smell and taste. I ordered no pickle and verified with the cashier and my receipt. I take my to go order and get home to find a large pickle inside my sandwich box and the pickle juice is throughout the sandwich.

I really don't understand how a simple one sandwich order with no special additions can't be correct. Very disappointed.

I am sad to write this because I respect the philanthropic activities of Firehouse Subs, and have for years regarding my local outpost ( Trussville, Alabama on Gadsden HWY) to be a reliable and consistent lunch option. I ordered from the WEB site and presented to the store at the correct time, but my order was not on the Rapid Rescue shelf. I was directed to the cashier. I showed him the receipt on my phone and he put the order in to be made. I cant complain about the lost order. This could be completely beyond the local staff's control and they certainly had no problem fixing it. I sat by the window and waited and watched the team as they laughed and joked with each other for what seemed like 30 minutes or more. During that time, they made about three orders. All for customers who walked in after me. When I got my order back to my office and opened the box, I was shocked. Instead of the warm, steamy deliciousness I was expecting, there sat a cold, soggy bun with about two very thin, dry slices of deli meat and a coagulated rubbery slice of cheese. The meat did not even cover the whole bun. One half of the bun was almost empty. There were no condiments at all. It was disappointing and unsatisfying. I only hope my next experience is much better, or this location ill be off my list.

This is how you run a restaurant! Or any other business really.

I'll try to make this fairly short. I really like Firehouse Subs in general. Had a great experience first time at this location. Second time, it was still positive. But one of my subs was a little cold. I wasn't going to even say anything about it. But I got an email a day or so later asking about my experience. I gave generally positive marks, but I did mention the sandwich.

The next day I got an email from the location General Manager. Not a cookie cutter corporate email. An ACTUAL email. He apologized for the experience and offered to make it up to me. I came in a day or so later. Met him in person, shook his hand. I got no pushback. No attitude. It was a great experience.

They have won my patronage for as long as I live near by. The staff is always friendly and polite. They are always working. Orders are made in a timely manner. You really could not ask more of a fast food location.

Ordered online, said order would be ready in 10 minutes so drove over arriving at the mentioned time. It was 15 minutes later when an employee asked for my name to tell me my order was almost ready. Five minutes later I left with my food. Got home to find it was not as ordered. Both my wife and I had asked for no pickles, guess what we both had. Seems minor, but on top of everything else, it was fitting.

Love the sandwiches, but beware they are busy during the lunch rush so plan according.
