Beers were okay, but I liked the pizza and shishito peppers more. Very casual with indoor and outdoor dining/drinking. There are heat lamps to keep you warm. Self service water, napkins, utensils, and togo boxes. You order inside or via QR codes on the table.

Nice indoor-outdoor space with an impressive lineup of beers, including sours, pilsners, lagers, IPAs. Tried the Light & Day and liked it so much I bought a four-pack to go. Did not eat but the Detroit-style pizza looked good. Prices are not obvious, so be careful if you're on a budget. Liked everything about the place but the bald, bushy-mustached bartender who, in my experience, is a tool who may display his dislike for you for no apparent reason.

I think this is likely the best beer in Berkeley. No kidding. We visited this warehouse-like brewery location on 6th Street, and enjoyed several beers, some pizza, and a pretzel. There was an excellent beer selection (maybe 20 taps), heavy on IPAs, but with a lot of other good choices as well. I particularly liked the Cow House Milk Stout and the Crossing the Atlantic on a Tricycle Imperial ESB. The latter is available only in bottles and at 13% ABV is best shared with a friend or two... The location also serves some food. We had the Detroit-style pizza which was nicely paired with the beer and a pretzel which (my only complaint) was frankly much too salty. There is plenty of bar and bench-style seating when we were there and a friendly crowd of customers from singles to small groups of all ages, including a few couples with small kids. Service was quick and friendly. We had no problems finding street parking. Fieldwork beer is also available for purchase in cans and bottles, and we saw a steady stream of folks leaving with their purchases. I think I'll need a bigger suitcase for when I next visit Berkeley. 🙂

We tried the Detroit-Style Pizza called "Delivery Boy" at Fieldwork Brewery. It features a tantalizing combination of tomato sauce, pepperoni, castelvetrano olives, jalapeño, and onions.

The selection of beers available was impressive, and each one was delightful in its own way. However, there's a minor drawback – the Detroit-Style Pizza at this location didn't quite measure up to the one at their San Leandro branch. The pizza lacked the desired crispiness and cheesy goodness we've come to expect from their other stores.

My top choice for craft beer. I had a flight of lager, sour, IPA, stout, and pilsner, each impressively flavorful. When I ordered a pilsner, they gave me a "hike hills" willi becher glass for free! The welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable staff make it a must-visit.

My favorite brewery in the East Bay! I consistently opt for their IPAs and stouts, and they never fail to satisfy. The array of craft beers they provide is impressive, and the welcoming staff enhances the overall enjoyment of the experience!

We love it here. We come regularly. The beer is always changing so it's fun to try new beers. AND the Detroit style pizza is otherworldly. I'm not a deep dish fan but it's sooo good. Light, airy, crispy. Just fantastic.

I absolutely love Fieldwork beer. I have been drinking it for years. However, up until today, I had only visited the Napa location. I absolutely loved when they were located in the Oxbow Market (now next door) because of all the foot traffic. Was a great place to people watch. Their new location in Napa is not very exciting, but the beer never disappoints.
Now... back to the Berkeley location. The location is horrible. Very ghetto. Parking is next to impossible, and even when I found a place a few blocks away, it did not feel safe. The service was fine, but there just wasn't any kind of ambiance. The place felt very run down. They did have a small menu, which was nice. I had the Jefe sandwich for $13. It was basically a pork panini, but it was not too bad. Im guessing about $1.50-$2.00 in food cost to make, so I think $10-11 would be a more reasonable offering. I look forward to visiting the other Fieldwork locations but have no desire to return to Berkeley.

The quality, diversity, and selection of beers at Fieldwork is unsurpassed.

The draft list changes frequently. There are lagers, sours, Belgian ales, IPAs - West Coast & Hazy, double IPAs, stouts, porters, specialty beers, etc.

If your favorite isn't available, try a new beer and it may become your new favorite!

I especially like IPAs and dark beers, so I'm never disappointed in the selection, even when I visit daily.

The Detroit style square pizza is great, made with a focaccia-style dough.

Fieldwork is my favorite brewery, so I'm biased.

Pretty big Brewery with plenty of seating. We had some issues finding parking but ended up parking by the skate park down the street.

They have menus and flight cards when entering the building and we ordered up front. If you order food, they give you a number to take with you to bring the food to you. We did a flight of 6 which were pretty big pours and ordered the Banh Works and the Take Five sandwiches.

For our flight:
Solace & Virtue
Melody & Silence
Sixth & Canal
Brick & Timber
Rainbow Parfait

I loved all of the beers. All the light beers were easy to drink and had great flavors. I was very pleasantly surprises with the Rainbow Parfait as it was not too tart and had a slight sweetness to it. The sandwiches were good as well, they were kind of like a panini.

Definitely recommend! The staff of really friendly too and it seems like they are also dog friendly.
