I wanted to take a minute to say how wonderful Emprise bank has been for me. I’ve been with them for close to 20 years now. Sadly and reluctantly, I had to close my accounts because I moved and needed something more local to me. Marilyn, at the Derby branch, has been so helpful and friendly every time I’ve gone in there or called. All the staff has been friendly, but I specifically want to give her a shoutout. I highly recommend Emprise, and I will definitely be returning if the opportunity arises again.

At first I was happy going to this bank but it all changed when my son took his check to be deposited in our account! I couldn’t go because I have been sick for the last three months with neuropathy and aFib ! I didn’t know there was a problem until December 30th and the next day they called me and said that I had deposited a check that I mobile banked with a different bank in which I didn’t know that the check was in there I didn’t know there was a problem and if there was a problem why didn’t the bank say anything about it! To me that’s been lied too ! I called social security and they said they never cashed it and I tried to tell them this but they kept cutting me off so they lost my business it’s the one in Derby ! I don’t owe them nothing

Open banking with emprise for 2 years now and for the most part they always taking care of any issues that I may have had. Unfortunately I am no longer satisfied with the type of service being received. I had an issue with my account For quite some time now. I've been patient and then I definitely feel as though I was taken advantage of.
I spoke to someone back in February and was assured the issues or charges would not continue to incur on my account. Due to the customer appreciation loyalty program that they run. Unfortunately that is not the case I not only continue to get charged but when I contacted the bank Again in another attempt to correct the problem I was told that hopefully this fixes it for the future as far as the Pass charges there is nothing they can do and I was given wrong information.
I trusted this institution as well as its employees to guard my money and if I can't take the word of an employee then I don't feel as though the institution should have my business. And even if I was given wrong information I would hope that the employees would be more considerate of all of the charges being incurred on my account this is cost me way too much money in due to being taken advantage of I will indeed be looking at other institutions where there word is something that I can trust moving forward.
I can only encourage other customers to make sure you have concrete evidence as to what is being told to you whether that be in black-and-white contract or however you would like just be weary of taking the bankers word, as it clearly means nothing. I hope others do not end up as naive as I was and lose quite a bit of money, as I did. Protect your.

I had an account there for about a year, tried to add my wife as a joint account holder and they denied her from being added because she was incorrectly flagged as opening a fraudulent account 3 years ago. It was not fraudulent, but they never gave her a fair chance in 2016 to explain the situation, nor before they denied her being added. Horrible process, communication and customer service.
