What a special, lovely, gem of a place! When beautiful nature, meets an immediate sense of calm, meets a quaint, comfortable room (cottage), meets warm, hospitable service, meets the best massage ever, meets high quality food….all within a rustic, understated, but yet elegant vibe…you get Dawn Ranch. Absolutely loved it. Perfect for a couples get-away, a girls weekend and of course a great special event/wedding venue. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place to unwind and really clear your head. The room amenities are very focused on relaxation. The bed was the most comfortable bed in a hotel setting we’ve ever slept in. It even rivaled my own bed at home. The dual gas fireplace was a huge hit for us, making the room nice and cozy while we relaxed in the living room and bedroom. The room was very modern and well kept. We did a massage at the spa on the day we were leaving and it felt so good and a perfect end to our mini vacation. The staff are very nice and attentive to any of your needs. You won’t be disappointed by dawn ranch, trust me!

Dawn ranch is always a fantastic getaway. Its location on the Russian River and the town of Guerneville is amazing! The staff at the resort from check in to the restaurant all welcoming and amazing!. The rooms are comfortable and set up for the most amazing reprieve to disconnect and relax. I cannot wait until my next visit!

The staff are very communicative and thoughtful. We were greeted and welcomed at every turn. The location is peaceful and gorgeous, but it’s really the employees who make sure you feel hosted and taken care of in every way. The Lodge was lovely for a home cooked meal feel - wonderful service and very good coffee. We also loved dining on soul food at Saucy Mama’s across the street. We will definitely be back.

One of the highlights of this place is definitely the restaurant. We had dinner two nights in a row so we could try more of their exquisite plates ?!

The grounds are beautiful.

When it comes to their spa, there is definitely room for improvement. While we were there, the steam room was out of service which was disappointing. In addition, three facility is poorly designed. The locker room is in a common area and really small. There are no separate men and women’s areas to change so you are asked to change in one of two bathrooms which are also where the showers are located. So if there are more than 2 people getting spa treatments I can tell you there is no room and you may have to wait for a bathroom to change. The bathrooms are tiny with no space to put anything down and there are no amenities like razors or combs or deodorant. Things you might expect at a full service spa. I don’t think the spa experience is worth the cost of the services.

I want to acknowledge Eliana (one of the managers) who was extremely receptive to our feedback and definitely made the checkout experience worth for coming back.

Dawn Ranch was a wonderful place to stay for our weekend retreat. It was easy to access, being right off the main road through town. The chalets were nestled further back into the compound, creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was cozy with unique and flavorful dishes. There were carts set up at the check in area to help with moving luggage in and out. It was the perfect place to unwind during the busy holiday season.

Loved my stay at Dawn Ranch. Staff are extremely friendly and organized, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The location is great as well - easy to walk to local restaurants. I also really enjoyed happy hour on site! Will definitely be back

I’m only giving four stars because we were originally given a room across the street in the Grove. This means in order to go to breakfast or to town you have to walk along a stretch of road where there is no sidewalk, and just enough outside of town that people tear ass in their cars. What made the trip special was we informed the hotel, and since there was availability we were able to switch rooms across the street next to the meadow and even though it was a queen and not a king bed, the sitting room was much more inviting and filled with light and was a very overall cute room. Being on the same side of the road as the lodge made it seem super convenient to both get to town and to meals. Service was excellent on all fronts. Great place to stay if you want to feel in nature, but walkable to town.
