I might have to move. This place is too cool. So friendly, terrific service, delicious food, and such amazing beer!
The Cuban sandwich was great. Not a typical, Tampa style Cuban (bread is softer, more Media Noche style, and it was significantly smaller) but otherwise spot-on. The coleslaw is creamy and nicely flavored.
Then there is the beer. OMFG! Do they make any bad ones? If they do, I haven't found one yet.
In front is a to-go store with food & an extravagance of six packs.
Why must I live so far away? 😫

So good! We started with the chips, cheese and avocado. We then ordered the best French onion soup we’ve ever had. Finished with the wild mushroom pizza. Great beer. Great food. Liz gave great service as well. We can’t wait to come back!!

Plenty of great beer choices. Something for everyone for sure. The food is delicious, a nice menu to select from. The staff do a great job for as busy as they seem to be. The general store has an even greater selection of canned and bottled beer to buy and take home.

I come here 1-2 per year, usually for lunch. Never disappoints. The buffalo chicken dip is a great appetizer. Excellent vibes and a friendly staff. Tacos are good too. Reasonably priced menu and excellent beer selection.

Hear ye, hear ye! Gather around, citizens, for a joyous proclamation of my visit to Dark Horse Brewing Co., located at 511 S Kalamazoo Ave, Marshall, MI 49068! I journeyed from the northern reaches to visit my daughter and her beau, and upon their recommendation, we ventured forth to this fine establishment.

Arriving at the hour of 12:30 PM, we found them bustling yet welcoming, with space for us to sit. I partook of the brisket sandwich upon a pretzel bun—a noble choice indeed! The horseradish sauce was kept to the side, by my request, and I added their house barbecue sauce for dipping, which proved to be a delectable decision. The horseradish sauce, though flavorful, struck me as overpowering, but the barbecue sauce brought harmony to the meal.

My companions, the young ones, indulged in a Detroit-style pizza crowned with pepperoni and cheese, a dish they greatly enjoyed, leaving just four slices for a future feast. It seems they hold this pizza in high regard, having savored it before. We began our repast with spinach and artichoke dip, served with tortilla chips that, alas, could have benefitted from a bit of toasting, being somewhat stale. Yet the dip itself was rich and delicious, though beware—the bowl arrives at a temperature fit to rival the sun! The server’s warning was well-founded, as I found it truly scorching.

I must advise you, good townsfolk, that the local water is of an acquired taste. I recommend choosing from their fountain drinks or their renowned adult beverages instead. The cost was fair, the service commendable, and the atmosphere rustic—though this made the cleanliness a touch ambiguous.

I would gladly return to Dark Horse Brewing Co., for their fare is worthy of praise. Huzzah to the brisket sandwich, the pizza, and the delightful dip—but mind the chips and the fiery bowl! 🍖🍕🍺

The pizza is actually the reason we visit.

Nothing against the beers which is always top notch, but the variety of pizza that they have, the way that it's cooked, and how well it tastes is just ultimately the reason to visit the place.

We enjoy the beer garden, but it's not the easiest to do if you want table service. You first need to get menus, Then once you decide what you want, go inside to order, and choose your beer(s) at that time, because the outside bar is limited

Once you figure it out, it's not really an issue, and well worth it for the pizza.

First-time visit and was impressed. Tried some raspberry beer it had a great taste and smell. Got a make-your-own Zone. It was huge and definitely will feed me twice if not 3 times. Very cool atmosphere and great service. They came and checked on us multiple times. Service was excellent! Also tried the pub pretzels, cheese garlic bread, and Buffalo wings. Those wings were some of the biggest chicken wings I've had. Great experience and can't wait for the next trip to the Dark Horse Brewing Co.
