This is the perfect comforting place to go to. I was hesitant because the kitschy western vibe is overdone in wickenberg and the restaurants are generally dirty, old, and flavorless here. This place is immaculately clean. You can feel it when you walk in, the AC works great, the tables, menus, carpet floor, and every chair is clean as a whistle and the decor is adorable. The western cowboy theme is well done here, there are old black and white westerns on the small tvs, oil lamp lighting, and paintings and decorations.
The service is good. My waitress suggests the chicken fried steak, the ribeye, or the burgers. I tried a cheeseburger and Mac n cheese, it was extremely comforting and perfectly cooked. Nothing fancy or exquisitely tasteful but good, came out hot and fast, and was delightful in the atmosphere of this restaurant. I’m sure anything else on the menu would be even better but I wasn’t super hungry and more curious about this place. If you go to wickenberg and want a nice place to go to, this is the one. It’s not crowded and noisy or dirty, everyone is nice and it’s actually clean!
I ordered a cake slice to go, they gave me 1/4 of a cake, it’s about the size of a child’s head it’s so big. Definitely worth the trip here, if you’re in wickenberg for a day or week this is the place to start or end the journey at.

Surprisingly good roadside cafe we stumbled on during a road trip. Food was excellent, we took the servers recommendations and everything was fresh, flavorful and had their own unique twist on classics.

Been visiting Cowboy Cookin since March 2024. The atmosphere and employees are great. The food tastes great BUT it is hit or miss with some items on their menu. They almost never have enough baked bread rolls, a couple of times I’ve been there around 7 or 8pm they’re out of baked potatoes. Their rolls are amazing and I always want to buy a half a dozen to take home with me but they “only cook enough for the night” which isn’t true as they run out hours before closing time. They’re one of the most popular restaurants in the Roping Capital of the world, I would assume they’d be more prepared with their food items.

We really enjoyed our lunch here and the waitress was really sweet! The rotating side was a cool concept, it is the special that the chef comes up with for that week. We got "Crack corn" and it was really yummy! Homemade mac'n'cheese was delicious. French dip was awesome. Definitely going back next time we are in town.

I'm not impressed. I had the chopped beef steak with creamed spinach, and garlic mashed potatoes. The meat was good. However the potatoes weren't seasoned with anything but Velveeta and the creamed spinach only had cream in it. They needed salt and pepper for sure.

My wife had the mushroom Swiss burger. She said it was good and the fries were seasoned well. She gave it a rookie score of 4 out of 5 stars

We also had the potato skins. No salt and pepper. They tasted like they were only seasoned with bacon and cheddar. Lol

And then there's the bread pudding. It was super hard. We couldn't even eat it. The flavors were good though. Disappointing for sure. We believe it was frozen.

We won't be back.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! Very nice margaritas! Appetizers were great (we shared the bacon wrapped asparagus and potato skins)! Main courses were outstanding (we had the steak cooked to medium - PERFECT and French Dip - AMAZING au jus)! Service was top notch!!!! Thank you!!!

Great place in Wickenburg right off 60.
Western decor with western menu. Several size cuts on Ribeye and Prime Rib. Good selection of beers on tap. Home made desserts and pies. Plenty of parking. Excellent service!

Our first time stopping in. Pretty slow for a Saturday afternoon, The menu is small, not alot to choose from and kinda pricey. Ordered a French Dip and fries. The sandwich was good lots a meat needs more flavor and fries needed to be cooked longer. However the bartender was wonderful, fast and smiley!
